I think what it needs are two independent motors, which though smaller, would work together to archive full driving power, most likely greater than that of the single large motor. Each motor would drive an independent wheel of the same circumference of the large wheel you see there, mounted nearly flush together to act as one single wheel with the capabilities of spinning in both directions, each operated by a single control in one hand. This would add the ability to steer and reverse.

2 separate engines do not have the syncronizations or precise control needed to achieve your recomendation. however if you change that to one engine powering a generator, electric motors have that precision. however a mechanical solution would be a controlled differential.

@Mr3wheeledbike The engine is located inside the base of the wheel and the extra torque used to rotate the wheel counterbalances the guy on the front. Kind like how drag cars can pop a wheelie off the start line, imagine the rear wheel of the car is the wheel on this, and the front of the vehicle is the guy sitting up there. Same concept only it stays balanced until the engine is turned off or is turned low enough that the torque isn't strong enough to lift him.

Steering is done by leaning and a gyroscope, counter weight is on the back so he doesn't flip, braking you slow down and just hop off the front when it's grounded. Not that hard to understand. And it isn't a slug machine. Highest recorded speed is 56mph
