Citizens of Sohos call this dialect "Bulgarian" (not "Macedonian"). They were speaking it as a second language, not their national one. They were speaking Greek at the same time (we know that a Greek school existed in the village at least since 1750, during the Turkish rule). From what I know, there is noone in Sohos who questions that he is Greek, despite the bilinguality.
