@scooter99999 he still wouldn't be top tier. His tier wouldn't even change really. Hed be top if he was in ssf4 where theres no parries though.

@BBoyPhreshershist Yeah, the parry system seems to be the one thing that holds him back from being top tier.

Of course, that's not to say you can't still beat people with him, just that you have to work and you can't really just chuck the little blue rings all day.

That's just how I'd imagine it, I'm not Third Strike expert, so I'm not a voice of reason exactly, but for me, the parry system just seems to work against Remy because you can basically just parry anything most people would do unless they time it right or bait parries.

@mature942 UO = Universal Overhead (command: medium punch + medium kick together)

Rrf buffering means using another input to buffer into his super (rising rage flash). This can be done with, say, Light of Virtue (LoV) by holding back for 2 seconds, then instead of just pushing toward + punch, you do a half a circle forward motion. This counts as the first qcf motion for a super.

I see Remy as a combination of Guile and Sagat. While he shares Guile's special moves, he can fire them up and down like Sagat. The clod blue kick is similar to the Tiger Knee Crush and his lanky stature gives him techniques similar to Sagat's as well.

And I'll be damned if he isn't the most kickass emo I've ever seen.

if you don't know how to charge an advanced tutorial is not for you :p

but anyway, by charge it means just hold that direction. so hold back for a while, then press forwards and punch, or hold down then up and kick after a moment. Better is to hold down back when possible because then you are charging the kick and the sonic boom so you can press either up and kick, forwards and punch, forwards and kick or do something else.

I always have trouble with dashing. How is it done? I know it's tapping forward or backward twice but I always fail (not just in SF but in KOF as well). How do I dash correctly? Tap forward once and hold? Tap forward or backward while walking?

once, i did qbc+hk while opponent is at corner, it hit and he falls or w/e, and then i connected w/ the rage flash before he hit the ground. so thats a combo maybe u guys can try out too haha.

and for me, i use the regular LoJ and if my opponent tries to jump over, i use the super LoJ and it connects most the time haha.

anyways, i think remy's pretty cool, but i dont use him in arcades tho... :\

what do you mean?

whether you are great with a bottom tier character, a top tier character or both at the same time, the disadvantage is still there and very real for the lower tiers. if you main 12 it's hard to say tiers don't matter when 3/4s of the shit in the game beats everything you can do. the solution is obviously to out-think your opponent even more, but that's exactly it. if a 12 player loses by 1 pixel to chun he has to have worked WAY harder in all likelihood. that matters.

also you can super cancels a LOV thats my SA2 set up just poke with a crouching LK > LOV(LK) > SA2 it's pretty fun and eternal LOV's are fun too ^^
