  • How Do You Support Community

  • I'm a new Linux user (Ubuntu) and interested in learning how I can support the Linux community.

  • @itsDoubleAA10 learn Linux. find issues in Linux. learn how to fix them. and then submit those solution back into the community. donations are good too. make a bunch of live cd's and hand them out to people in public with a paper explaining what Linux is. get people involved. and by the way. if your ubuntu graphics are a little slow or laggy, or jumpy look on my channel, i have a video up on how to fix that. i mention it because its common problem for ubuntu at the moment. :-)

  • @MrGizmo757 Thanks for the suggestions.

  • @MrGizmo757 I just downloaded the Kubuntu desktop. I like it better than Ubuntu.

  • @itsDoubleAA10 ok then let me sugjest onther distro for you. Kubuntu is KDE. the best KDE distro that i have used is one Called Pardus. OpenSUSE KDE is also very good but OpenSUSE isnt what i would recomend a begginer. its a little more involved to get going. but if you like KDE then i would say go with Pardus. just type it into youtube the channel infanantlygelactic has a great reveiw on it. i also have a few videos on it. but i would go Pardus if you like KDE.

  • @MrGizmo757 I use Xubuntu. I like Xfce.

  • @itsDoubleAA10 However OpenSUSE has far More software available for it then Pardus dose. OpenSUSE is voted the number one KDE distro. its just a little more advanced then Kubuntu is. Pardus is ready to go out of the box. one of the best for a newbie. Linux MInt has a KDE version coming out soon. they have an RC out now. that one should be good too. Mint is always good. but liek i said. for a newbie i would recomend Pardus. go cheack that one out. i think you will like it. :-)

  • @MrGizmo757 I meant Xubuntu.
