Windows 7 x64: Street Fighter IV PC 60fps HD3870 MAX Settings

I have this game and have tested it on four different PCs. It works with XP 32 bit, Vista 32, Win 7 64 bit and probably vista 32 etc.

System 1 - Single core A64 3.2 (venice core) 2 gigs ram w/ ATI agp 4650

Runs the game at 58fps but I have FSAA off and rez of 1280x1024

System 2 - Dual core E5400 2 gigs ram XP home w. PCIx ATI 4650

Runs the game at 62fps but again I had FSAA off.

System 3 - Dual core e5300 3 gigs ram Win 7 64 w PCIx ATI 5700

Runs like 100+ FPS max settings 1680x1050

AA and AF are just about meaningless on this game unless you run it at 1152x864-1024x768 you barely notice any diffrence

@bornwisedistruction YES I agree FSAA is not needed.

Also I would turn Vsync OFF. When I have it on I get much lower average FPS.

it will cap your fps at 60 but when it can't do 60, it drops all the way to 30fps.

Needs a triple buffer. Just leave vsync off, the tearing is not really a big deal.

I would try to play at the LCDs native rez and lower settings. Native rez will look better because the LCD is not doing extra inerpolation.

Hey, please tell everyone here on how you can get it to play stable on WINDOWS 7! my specs are mad crazy, but 64-bit windows 7 wont allow no more than 10 seconds of gameplay then it dies

Maybe they fixed it in the last few months. I just picked this up (Dec 2010)

and it works fine in Windows 7 64. as it does is xp.

I have a 5000 on 2.6 too, and thats stock.

Overclocked it to 2.8 for my HD 4670 I got this week, to rule out massive bottlenecking :)

I have an intel core i5 + Ati radeon HD 4890 + 6 GB RAM DDR3... this game runs perfectly on my pc all maxed... I also have win7 x64... but for some reason the intro cutscene... that super awesome long video... it lags A LOT :S... it starts perfectly and around 1 min... becomes slooow... I reinstaled my codecs but nothing... any idea? (sorry for my English :p). Bye.

I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64bit but the game fails to even start. I'm using the steam version and already updated GFW. You say you're using x64, anyway you can help me?

This is standalone benchmark not steam. So not sure if steam is the issue.

I believe you that its runnin in those hi of setting but you really couldn't afford a video capture card with all that? What am I talking about you don't even need a video capture card all you need is fraaps cause you really can't see the hi quality.

You do realize fraps cuts the frame rates by half? So technically it's not the official frame rates people will want to see. Especially running on an average graphics card..

I'm not even looking for frame rate really just picture quality. I don't know tons about computers but enough that I know with a rig like yours there should be a better way of capturing and showing off how good it looks other then using a camera.

there are more than enouhg other programs, and fraps doesnt cut in half anymore not in the full version

lmao, got a amd x64 x2 at 3.22~ 4gigs ocz 1066 ram, a western digital with 320gb (7200 rpm/8ms/16mb cache) and a nv 9800GT with 1gb vram (750/2000 clocks) so why is it cut to half at your system ?

I agree with gofre1. The HD 3870 is the "high-end" of the 3xxx Series. It's still a good card, so there's no need to prove that SFIV is gonna have FPS drops with it. Other cards must be proved like the 8500GT or the HD 36xx for example.

I can get about 170fps when i run then benchmark but stays at 60 in the actual game. turned off v-sync but doesnt do anything. anyone else having this problem?

it might be because playing the game at a higher frame rate might make it play differently, the timing in the moves might be a little off
