I first visited Panamint Valley in March of 2008. Since then I've been back twice, but I haven't done the trek up to Panamint City yet. I'm going to give it a try this spring break.
I'm heading up again April 24. I hope that if there are other people, that there will be enough room for the mob of folks that I've got coming with me.
That wood-burning stove kept a group of us warm one night when it was snowing!!! On another trip we counted our steps in the mine and we estimated that the tunnel was 2/3 of a mile long.

How was it when you were hiking through the snow? What sort of gear did you bring?
