Our scrum is decent enough, lineout, barely average, mauls = shite, rucking barely average etc... I played against so many nasty big fucking guys and none of them seem to appear on the welsh side

Welsh rugby was at it best in the 1970s. Best in the world over much of that decade and heart of the greatest Lions, playing beautiful Rugby. Since then there have only been occasional 6 nations triumphs, the pack is usually too weak. Still, the backs have sometimes shone with very exciting play, the Welsh way- even in defeat Wales have often entertained but they're just not tough, dynamic or competitive enough up front
I have to say as a neutral to the game I do believe the gap between northern and southern hemisphere teams is narrowing and I think in the very near future it could be the north ruling the roost! The next world cup will be interesting, I think it will belong to the north!!!

Wales had easily the best winning record of the 70s. Anyway, since then Wales have usually been far too soft in the pack to compete with the best and will have to raise their performance a lot not to be thrashed by the All Blacks next week. Shane Williams isn't the complete powerful wing but he has at least been very exciting to watch

Welsh rugby was at it best in the 1970s. Best in the world over much of that decade and heart of the greatest Lions, playing beautiful Rugby.
