  • I remember when this came out it the 80's now it sounds like a demo

  • We gave him a hit off our joint on the front row in Dallas @ the Agora twice.. In 80 and 81.

Still gotta be two of the best shows ever, and we are all odmfr's!

  • I remember when this album came out...from the cover picture you couldn't really tell...we thought he was a black guy...I remember being fried in my best friends basement...we used to smoke out back then...anyway this album blew our asses away..damn this dude could play!!!!!! Period...rhythm...lead...whatever..incredible guitar sound...like it's just barely being contained...reckless..totally awesome

  • i grew up in west seattle and i'll never forget hearing randy jam in that little house on the corner in white center. I finally got to see him play at a dive bar in west seattle village back in 86 i think it was called the pikwik or something like that (it's gone now) I got to meet randy shortly after that. really cool guy, very laid back and friendly. I saw him again in LA when he was trying out drummers for a band called war and peace. hope he's doing good and still playing..

  • I saw Randy back in the early eighties when he headlined the first of two days at Lindley Meadow in San Fran's Golden Gate park, He came out in the crowd while playin and we put up on our shoulders and carried him around while he was shredding. The next day when Carlos santana was headlining, we spotted him and I guess his bodyguard in the crowd and ended up smoking a joint with him, one cool guy and a fantastic guitar player and artist!

  • It feels like a bad ass high when they all come in together.!aH

I forgot about that feeling wow..

  • Pouring rain on a Seattle Haloween in1980 I saw the best rock n roll perfomance that I have ever seen: Randy Hansen.

  • sounds epic, wish I was there.

  • Yes, Epic. I saw Randy play again a few years later at a local bar in Port Orchard, while he was playing with MItch MItchell of The Expierence. Got to meet him at intermission, nice man, guitar god.

  • @rossbmarvin3rd I've seen Randy so many times now I can't remember, but one night in particular I carried those big marshalls of his down a few flights of stairs. In return Randy let me tag along with him and the crew to dinner, then back to Randy's to get smokey =D

Chillin in Randy's living room with him and his friends listening to hendrix on vinyl was pretty rad!

  • head east opened the show at the arena randy jumped off stage and played as he ran to the top of the back seats...awesome show with a costume contest between acts, those were the days! + about a 10 spot fot the ticket

    great halloween!

  • @JetsRockinDaddy He ran right up next to me with a big bodyguard holding a flashlight. It was rocking. Head East opened? I don't remember but I saw them at Natcha's Dance Pavillion in Bremerton, Wa. Randy is a great guitarist. Maybe I can see him again this summer.

  • wow natachas that sure brings back late 70's memories, saw that you caught the van halen/sabboth show me too along with many many other great shows around the whole seattle area as i said before those were the days! rock on!

  • I new when I typed that it sounded a bit misleading, I didn't get to the Van Halen/Sabbath show for some reason. I did get to go to The Black and Blue Tour the next year at memorial stadium, Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult. Natacha was in yesterdays paper the city and her settled on clean up on the old dance pavillion, it's costing here $290K.

  • Apparently I can't spell tonight either.

  • seattle, the paramount theater

    farewell to hendrix tour

    WOW!

what a night! randy at his best

    awesome post!!!!!

  • It should have been a hit. All great songs, fantastic playing, Despite making his bone imitating Hendrix, he has his own distinct style here. The live show was awesome one of the best I ever seen. He even let me play a couple of notes!

  • This is amazing...need to buy or download this somewhere!

  • Great stuff. Hadn't heard this in God knows how long. There was some class stuff on this album...

  • this album is hard to find it is out of print i'm sure. but if you have any friends that have it. get it recorded. i was lucky enough to do that by my cousin and wish mr hanson would put it out again

  • Thank You Randy!

  • If you ever got to see this intro live! I did totally intense. Then Randy appears out of no where ... JAmming! ... Love it! Would love to hear another rocked out album...

  • It wasn't out of nowhere. The stage was covered in dry ice. You heard the bomb stuff. Then when he brought the bar up, you saw the headstock rising slowing out of the "cloud", then boom it was all there kicking it. The show was bad as all get out. I don't know if people know it, Randy used a Floyd before Eddie. That was Randy in the original Floyd Rose ads.
