It sounds very nice. Mind you, by the time it's been through Youtube's compression algorithm and my laptop's mini speakers, I doubt whether much of the subtlety of the old radio really remains.
@alancurrall Thanks! I was hoping the HD playback alternative wouldn't destroy the sound too much and I do find that most of the character actually does remain. But of course it's nothing like being in the same room as the machine. It actually boasts a kind of 3D stereo image thing that makes the sound seem to spread a little better in the room. It has speakers pointing in almost all directions inside the box!
@tonykanemusic Yeah for a band this could work wonders actually, that's a great idea. I know some people run their synths through amplifiers just to get some specific sound.
@Kabzoer At a synth meet up :) No, just kidding. I can't really say she takes an interest in the Buchla but she liked the concept of this video and found the touch plate intriguing.
This is a very beautiful tune. Love how musical you always make the Buchla sound.
I love to work with radio too, so I can appreciate the sound of that beauty. Great work, keep it up!

Wow! Now that really does sound amazing. I'd like to be in the room with that. What is the make and model?

@alancurrall I'm not sure of the exact model, maybe I can look it up. It's a Grundig however and all the labelling is in Swedish.

It would probably sound great for an effect in a studio. Itd make stuff sound more real or united with the other instruments that were micd.
