If so, please point in out, cause I must've overlooked it when I say that Jason Derulo is the most talented phenomenon in mainstream music there is at this point in time. @BrianGionta21x so sorry- didn't realize i was talking to a audiophile neophyte- ;) they used a programme called melodyne to pitch the main voca (google Melodyne DNA)- i used the term "autotune" much the same way you would use Kleenex- as a generic for tissue.

the filters i referred to, are set up to mimic what was called a "Vocoder" made famous by a band called ELO in the 70's - definitely not "Acoustic". they used it on all of the Backing stacks-

if you can't hear the pitch correction on the runs- i can't help you but try this. listen specifically to the first time he sings " when the roof caved in and the truth came out"- you can hear the pitch correction clearly on the word "truth"-  when you spend hours pitching vocals the "tells" become obvious- they are all over this song if you listen for them.

and finally with respect to the "acoustic" sound of the voice- there are at least 3 compressors-(a front end leveler- followed by something like a Neve 2254 to add harmonic distortion- thickness, and then most likely a bussing compressor to maximize level on the back end of the signal chain) a de-esser, doubler, and a reverb most likely with a trailing delay- and of course a maximizer...... so with all that electronics...... i have to smile at the term "acoustic version"

Okay, for everyone, he is NOT using autotune in this song, you can figure this out through the audible transitions between pitch in his voice, autotune eliminates this, also it is much better than the radio version as you can express feeling through singing and not through autotuning (that's right I just used it as a verb)
