@hughzshooz Yep. Karate Kid's Mister Miyagi was based on him. They even have the same first name.

when the teacher practicing the kata, he holds his energy like a noh dancer. which is little movements but full of tension, i wonder if there is any connection between the two??

Nope, sanchin is an exercise borrowed from White Crane, and is actually a pretty common type of exercise among southern styles.
