@stevepising You can learn a lot from the pricks, though, even if you don't want to learn their social skills. the one nice thing about a prickish person is they will usually tell you the story as straight as they possibly can. They won't polish the edges of it, you get the real deal.
There are a lot of people in the world who are really good at something, and can be of a lot of use to others even if they can't be polite.
