A lot of focus has either been put into Gameplay (most games e.g. COD, Mario) or Story (Planescape, Mother) Yet only a few have got a reasonable balance Silent Hill, Half life, portal and bio/system shock are some best and few examples. It took film a good 50 years to find it's place, gaming is getting close...

They should remake the first silent hill using the HD graphics, the full capacity of the Blu-ray disk like they did in Metal Gear Solid 4 and bring the Silent Hill 1 story to a new level where they can go and explore deeper in details. Using the same composed yet enhanced plus expanded soundtracks.

It's never been remade. Shattered Memories may use the same names and character designs, but it's a different story. In SM, Harry and a few others are just manifestations from how strong Cheryl's memories were.

I kind of wish that they would make a Silent Hill that connects all the games together, and it uses certain songs from each game since Akira can't make music for each game now. This song could be played when the main character watches someone dear to him or her die, and during the scene it could make references to the original scene when Lisa transforms.

It's unbelievably sad as it happens, not through violent means, but during the concious state of the character as she finally comes to the realisation that she is and always has been a zombie.
