  • wow.this waz a really kool video.

  • How awesome, so many native nation's cultures honored at the Olympics for the WHOLE WORLD to see!

  • this is just simply amazing...

  • i know the person at 2:20

  • Responding to the comment that they were sad and upset that these dances were not performed on Native Land....

For the Navajo it is our land. This land particularly has many Navajo remains resting on it from travels a long time ago. I was there as a representative for the Navajo Nation, this was our same concern. But the answer is simple, it is our land and it's ok. The Ribbon Dancers and Yeibichei Dancers would have otherwise NOT been ALLOWED to perform it at the Olympic Opening Ceremonies.

  • I love my beautiful Native people!

  • Omg! This is too darn beautifull! If only we were there to actually see it! I can't believe i did not know about this... OMG!

  • I have always been in awe of the sheer beauty and wonder of the First Nations people, the true first Americans and Canadians.

We don't do enough to respect their cultures today, but at Salt Lake City they were honored, and in Vancouver 2010, they will be honored as well.

  • At 2:50 which nation speaking is that?

  • Ute nation

  • Wonderful native peoples , too bad they don't get better respect from most Americans who took their land from them!

  • Sacajawea is a name that many people can not pronounce properly because they are not native speakers. He was not trying to be rude at all.Just a simple mistake.

All of these languages together are beautiful!

  • im a shoban and i thought that was cool

  • At 0:40, did he say Sakaguweeya? ROFLZ! It's Sacajawea, idiot. Where the hell does he get the 'g' in there?

  • He was probably told to say it that way because that is how a lot of native americans say it...

  • I'm Native American and I sure as hell don't say it like that. I never even heard of it like that before till now. I just freaked at it. Well, whatever, you're probably right. He probably thinks that that is the right way of saying it.

  • IDK...I'm native too and I have some family up in Fort Hall and they're Sho-Ban and that's how the old ones say it even though they have a totally different name for Sacajawea.

  • Oh well. It just sounds funny to me. :)
