Well yes but i think there is a difference between the Native Americans and the Mexican Indians or Aztec and Mayan tribes. They are probably related though. Many Mexicans today have Spanish blood due to the colonization of Mexico. The term Mestizo is not really used today. The child of a Native indian and a Spanish european was called a Mestizo in Spain which means mixed.

Referring to the title: *some* Mexicans are Native American, too. Mexico's population is similarly effected by European immigration as well as the United States'. A border was drawn, cross it without becoming a citizen and you are considered an immigrant, whether you're crossing it towards the North or the South. Just because one descended from pre-Colombian American heritage does not mean he/she can roam the whole New World without being checked. If you're illegal, easiest route is to enlist.
