Great first time shooting. If that was a pump shotgun, home made low velocity handload shot shells will have less than half the recoil and still do the job. Makes practicing fun, and your confidence will build. Under real emergency situations the high velocity ammo recoil disappears. Great Song ~~~~Shotgun Sister

Ahh I see you're progressing :-). Strawman is right, don't shoot at concrete or steel targets at close range. Lean in :-D

Was the area that held the bottle concrete? Learning like that is dangerous. But good for you for taking the plunge! Next time set the bottle on a old log or something that can absorb the bullet. Just to prevent any accidents OK :)
