Thanks Jeff! I shot my best round so far at my course (78) but it could of easily been 73 or 74. I had a few 3 putts and some bad 2 putts. This routine looks like it offers confidence for any putt on any green, and I will definately give it a go!
30 seconds of extra green reading equates to an extra 9 minutes, per round of golf. If you can't spare 9 minutes of wait time per 18 holes of golf, take up another game
thank you Jeff! i used the shirt technique for the first time today and it was amazing! par putts were dropping like never before as did two birdie putts. for a 12 handicapper this is amazing advice. thank you again!
Another hint: Designers tend to avoid water running from the green into sandy bunkers so the slope goes from the bunker to the green. The opposite occurs with grass bunkers where the slope runs from the green to those bunkers.
The key to making putts is actually consistency in your length. I try to train myself to always hit it 1-3 feet past the hole. Even If I don't make it, to go past the whole is the most important thing, because if you have the line it has a possibility too drop.
I read in Greg Normans book that scientifically speaking the putt thats most likely to drop is one that goes 17ins past the hole-so you are almost spot on with that distance past.
actually, you will see many pros leaving putts short when up hill as not to leave a downhill combacker. "Never up never in" is true in theory but there are times when long is wrong.
Also think about if you are an aggressive putter or non-aggressive...what line you choose depends on it. If you are non-aggressive and happy lagging, then you must add MORE to the break to allow for the grain/slope to affect the ball. If you are aggressive and play less break, act accordingly and be ready for those 3-4 ft comebackers!

I hate when people consider hitting any shot on the golf course a step in your pre shot routine. Hopefully hitting the ball is a given to everybody.

Jeff, you could have at least made one of those for show!

A great putter doesn't care whether the ball fell in the cup or not. Just that he was committed to his set up, green read and stroke.
Thanks Jeff, great vid!

Jeff Ritter has actually saved my golf game if you can believe it.
I was having some awful problems and his videos straitened it all out.
In particular, the one where he was throwing the balls in his garage.
Great video.

Glad the video was of help. If you can keep using that "shift" you will certainly see the true break more often! Thanks for your post! Jeff
