  • Lorenzo, you trainined chest in the morning? you came back later to do triceps? you did close grip bench for triceps later that day right? yea you know how easy it is to accidently use ur chest on close grip? even with your elbows in you will still hit your chest. you pulled your chest muscle, you basically over trainined in the same day, your chest was fatigued and swollen then you tryed to close grip 160 kilo later? BAD IDEA

  • te same thing happened to me last april doing a set of 40 with 225 i was going to fast and on the 18th rep i felt and heard a tear and pop, i went to the doctor and found out it was a bad muscle strain, you just have to ice and and slowly slowly work your way back into it

  • One time i fill same thing on my upper chest,when i do incline bench press,that pain all goes way for 2 weeks...just don't do heavy press or don't even do chest for couple of weeks if you want...maybe that is same thing but better to go to the doctor and see what he say ;) good luck and fast recovery !

  • lorenzo, i understand how much this sucks. after all of your illness you finally get back to training and you are throwing on weight and this injury comes. dont put it off, see a doctor right away, it will be the fastest way to being better. even if your training slows down dont stop eating heavy. it will keep the weight on you and make it easier to come back when you are better. i went to a chiropractor for my neck and the doctor had the electric stimulent pads.

  • hi man, first off all i want to say thank you for keeping us updated (big fan over here), and secondly i wish u'll get better soon to training.

    once i had a back shoulder injury i stopped training for 2 months (summer time) , went to a doc and he told me that my muscle was ripped, he suggested that i should get electric massage pads and yoga, so i did and it's really helped me, and now im back to my heavy training but i still feel a little shrink in te muscle , but it's all good (so far).

  • Nice Video Lorenzo hope you recover soon i hate that i stopped lifting for a week because it mad me lazy and i didnt lift for another week then when i was about to lift i didnt want to but i had to push my self back into it i did like 5 days rest 2 days every week each day was like 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 mins need some of your motivation lorenzo so i can get back to becoming a better lifter but have a nice day bro hope u feel better very soon.

  • Cher Lorenzo... c'est regrettable, mais te voilà confronté à l'autre côté de la médaille. Autant tu as su canaliser beaucoup d'efforts à te developper un physique à la Hulk, autant il te faudra maintenant faire des efforts colossaux pour prendre cela doucement et te laisser le temps de te remettre. Et surtout, ne fais pas cela seul... une supervision médicale est de mise, mon ami!!!

  • you "think" you injured yourself?  You need to get to a doctor as soon as possible. This can be very serious and requires specific attention. If it is not healed properly you can do permanent and serious damage!! Do not self medicate!!

  • I can fell i disapointment man, it's so bad when you are so motivated when start training again and see big results and then something like this happened :S but stay strong man and think positive this will help you for fast recovery. I really hope that next week when enter youtube to see video named "Good News" where you talk about how injury is healed and you back to trainng. Good luck.

  • for that injury you need to rest for about 7 to 10 days

    day 1 to 3 : rest, ice injured area for 10 mins 3 x a day

    day 4 to 7: heat the area for 10 mins 3 x a day

    day 8 to 15: start rehab, look on the internet for strengthening exercises

    day 15 to day 22: stretch and strengthen the injured muscle

    then ease your way back into training light the first week back and build it up slowly from there. :)

  • I've had that exact same situation before. Doing barbell presses, the bar was in the lowered position and *crack*. In my case it was a rotator cuff bursal sac rupture that led to bursitis. Take it easy and go too a physical therapist!

  • Please see a doctor. You might end up hurting yourself worse if you try training too soon.

  • Please be careful, Lorenzo. You're such a nice guy. A friend of mine had to quit bodybuilding altogether because of a chest/bicep injury. He was lifting way too heavy for his body to cope with. He admitted that later on.

  • I ripped my left bicep once and it didn't heal for 1 year, so then I finally went and got myself a electric massage pads to stimulate the muscles and after 1 week I was healed and haven't had a single accident since. If it's a muscle that has ripped than I would urge you to look into electric massage pads, and of course speak to a doctor.

  • @Dalorenzzo Lorenzo don't worry about that injury, you'll be back on track in 2 weeks max trust me. I had something like that but with my right shoulder. I was doing the Millitary Barbel Press and suddenly "strap" I dropped the weight and felt a huge pain I couldn't continue my workout like you and left the gym. The days afterwards the pain was insufferable I thought I'd not train for months maybe,but right after the first week the pain disappeared instantly so don't worry just keep motivated :)
