But Icarus "dropped" from the sky really,

but not only was lost by someone expressed in the word "the sky".

At the least, Icarus is only "dropped thing" for Tomoki.

The author uses the ambiguity of "Otosimono"(dropped thing) in Japanese.

well if you had half a damn brian you could obviously tell that this is an anime, a type of animation that the japanese used to portray their cartoons, which usualy have more depth and emotion unlike american cartoons where its sloppy and silly, but im not complaing since i grew up on alot of those silly sloppy cartoon shows. although im sure every kid did, at least those who were fortunate enough to be raised in this so called land of the free.
