SI no hubiese sido por Quiroga enese partido polonia nos huebiera metido como 5 a 0, lamentablemente Navarro fallo y estaba Lato para aprovechar el error, pero ese defensa que dejo cabecear a Szarmach solito tambein tuvo responsabilidad. que beunas atajadas y salidas de Quiroga. Despues de la primera etapa en que Peru fue uno d elos mejores equipos, parecia que desde ahi ya estaba acordado dejar clasificar a Argentina. solo uno pasaba y tenia que ser Argentina, ni Brasil ni Polnia ni Peru.

Hasta donde recuerdo, a nivel profesional Perú enfrentó a Polonia 3 veces: un amistoso en 1977 en el estadio nacional, en que perdió 3 a 1. Gol de Alejandro "torito" Luces. Y las otras 2 veces fueron en los mundiales de Argentina 78 (0-1) y España 82 (1-5) donde muchos culpan a Velasquez por el mal pase que hizo y que produjo el primer gol polaco.

Yes, you're right Gorgon was playing with number 6 in the back. Gorgon wasn't in the second game polska defeated Peru in worldcup 82 in Spain 5-1 and Deyna either. it's a shame he tragically died in L.os Angeles. he was the best middle in worldcup germany 74.

@MyRickyz Por qué culpar a José Navarro? Fue una falla garrafal, claro, pero debes culpar al D.T. en todo caso (Marcos Calderón-QEPD) que lo puso a la izquierda. Navarro siempre fue marcador derecho. Y Quiroga? Quiroga NO se quedó ni se fue a Argentina por mejor sueldo, como lo hicieron Gorriti, Manzo, etc. luego de la amenaza de Videla en el Camarín peruano antes del partido con Argentina.
