Hi Roadracers Fans, Paul Boll here: co-composer, along with my pal Johnny Reno, of the music for the film. That's me there in the leather jacket playing guitar. Those were great times working on that film! We also did some music for the "Spy Kids" series, "Suicide Kings" "Melrose Place" and music for some Showtime comedy specials as well.

@bitchboysi - we re-recorded "Roadracers" for the film for a number of reasons. At the time we did the music for the film we had a really great drummer in the band, Mike Gage, and wanted to take advantage of that. We also wanted to do all the music for the film at the same time for unity of sound. Finally, Robert wanted to be there for the recording because he already had visual cuts and edits in his mind for the song which he wanted to use as opposed to having to cut to the single.

@bitchboysi the song was called "Dude And Donna" on the soundtrack. I originally had a different title for it. Looking through my MIDI files /floppy disks for the original title.

i have two vhs copies of this movie.

first saw this movie when it debuted on showtime on their "rebel highway" series and happened upon it by chance.

was supposed to go out that night, plans didn't work out, so i stayed home and this was on. it was also when i tried quitting smoking. i fell in love with the movie and immediately went to the store when it was over and got a pack of camel wides!!

this was released on DVD in Europe, and is easy to find on EBAY, was suppose to be released in USA, even Robert himself said he had just made another 10 minute cooking school for this DVD, but got delayed.. what is really impossible to find is the book to this, "ROADRACERS the making of a degerate hot rod flick" wich is continuation from his first book , but i found Scans of the book and is great just like Rebel with out a crew. if you want scans of it, hit me up, ill email it

I sure wish I could purchase this movie on video, I've checked everywhere, last time I saw this movie I rented it on VHS back in 2000. If it was never released on DVD than that is pure bull shit It was the best movie of 1994 in my opinion I remember watching it on Showtime's "Rebel Highway" move series when it was first released on television

I just saw this film on the big screen in Fort Worth. Lucky me! Robert was in town for the Lone Star International Film Festival. The band that played in the movie played at Club Embargo in FW prior to the screening. Robert recut and digitally mastered the film and I saw it at the Rave at Ridgmar Mall. It has never and will never again be shown on the big screen. He is releasing the DVD sometime in Spring '08 along with the Grindhouse Double Feature.

This song is a cover song, originally recorded by Jamie James on the album Cruel World. The original is nothing like this, sadly it is no where near as good. There is no soundtrack for this movie either. This movie was mad for Showtime - so there is no DVD release either - sadly enough.

The guy's name is Johnny Reno. He used to be apart of Stevie Ray Vaughns group way back, then formed his group "The Sax Manicas". A Cassette tape (no CD of it sadly) Full Blown has the song from the end of the movie on it. He (Johnny Reno) also performs in Dallas area with the Lounge Lizards, usually at the Red Door. Sadly the intro song "My Mistake" isn't avaiilable anywhere :(

The Rumblers, but they don't play. They told me it's been 10 years since they played together. They literally dusted off their guitars last week. The band consists of Johnny Reno from Fort Worth and 3 other guys, Tommy Nix, etc. They played the soundtrack this weekend in Fort Worth. It was awesome.
