  • Yea, I remember the Fordham Baldies, I was from the area of Fordham road in the Bronx. It was back in the late 50"s. I was just a kid then, but I remember them. They were so cool and tough. People respected them due to fear of them. They carried chaines and brass knuckles in case anyone messed with them. ( Brass knuckles were new weapons in those days.). Yep, I remember them alright!!

  • My friend from the Bronx, Ray Licini, told me there was a real Bronx gang called the Fordham Baldies in those days. (Haven't seen Ray since 1980, the year after this movie came out.)

  • MAYBE THE BALDIES GOT HIM.

  • Oh shit! Now you got me worried! Cuz I just remembered that after Ray told me about the Baldies, he said "Yeah. They look like a bunch of pricks wit ears." Damn!

  • @57highland There was a real gang called Ducky Boys too.

  • @Zipgunn1 Yes, I read something about the Ducky Boys. They were Irish (or mostly Irish), right?

  • @57highland, Yes, I've just found this book on Amazon "Lost Boys of the Bronx: The Oral History of the Ducky Boys Gang"

Apparently Ace Frehley of KISS was a Ducky Boy and ironically Dion Dimucci (singer of the hit version of the song The Wanderer) was a Fordham Baldy

  • @57highland yaa they started in 55
