@cmaraceli Absolutely not. If your using high quality professional products, destroying the natural nail plate is no longer necessary to apply enhancements. I never file on the natural nail, and I do not use primer. I hope thi helps, thanks for watching. Be sure to visit me on facebook for more tips and nail art designs. ◦◕‿◕◦
Hi. My main problem is every time I apply acrylic, I have a lumpy, bumpy appearance on my nail. I try adding extra, but that just makes it worse. Do you recommend hand filing or a power filing to achieve the perfect bed? Also, some manicurists have done my nails with a large "bump" in the center which I do not find attractive at all. Is this necessary or is this just artistic flair? I think it makes the nails look more fake and press on. Thank you.
@mommachilders "Bumps" in the acrylic could mean your working too dry. Don’t over do it, but try working with a wetter bead—a 2-1 ratio is good. When acrylic is applied properly there is minimal filing needed. I only recommend using an e-file if you have certification, otherwise you could end up doing more damage than good. As for the arch in the nail... the arch is natural and is only meant to give the nails a more realistic appearance. ◦◕‿◕◦

@LadyNailz I found tons of great info & definitely learned a lot. Glad i found you before I attempted doing them myself for the first time! Have you heard anything from other techs one way or the other about Absolute? I've looked up reviews, but there aren't any real discussions about it. that is the system I bought to start out with and hope I got something decent. I'm a notorious lifter and haven't had any lift yet, but that could be due to your awesome advice and not the product!
Hi i jus found your channel and i hv learn so much with that shot period of time. I am shock to learn that premier damages your nails. Well can afford the high quality products so i am jus asking you if SUPERNAILS PRODUCTS are good and what is the name of a good dehydater that i can use. @letoya356 Yes, long term primer use will cause nail and skin damage. I have never heard of "supernails," but it just sounds generic. @ERNESTINEAPODACA The acrylic starts to set the minute liquid comes into contact with powder. It shouldn't be overly wet to begin with. After you place your first bead, wipe your brush a little, and go back to the bead... it should be at the perfect stage to begin back pressing.

Thank you so much for responding to my comment. How do u know if u have taken off all traces of cuticles on the nail plate? I'm going to try this hopefully my nails won't lift.. lol!
@ERNESTINEAPODACA You are so welcome. Once you properly dehydrate the nail plate, any traces of cuticle can be clearly seen. If you have to, reapply more solvent to get every bit of cuticle. Be sure to wash the solvent off thuroughly, and dehydrate again. The more dehydrated the nail plate, the stronger the acrylic will adhere. Good luck.
@lilnailtech Nearly 30 years. Yes, everyone has their own way of doing nails--some are hazardous, some are not. This is one way of achieving no-lift nails without the use of primer or filing on the natural nail. Thanks so much for commenting, glad you enjoyed the vid. ◦◕‿◕◦
these are 2 separate videos .... at 3.38 all of a sudden you have bling all over your own nails, that must have taken quite some time, how long was this video in real time, in between adding art to your own nails and the clients deciding on a fade.
I'm enjoying your videos, but prefer a more "real" approach ..
@nailzoo “A Real approach?” Hun, those are not fake hands in the video. This is one video. My client had to take a 30 minute break, in which I paused the camera, doodled 3-D on my nails, which only took 20 of my clients 30 minute break. This video was exactly the length it looks: 30 minutes for application, and another 20 for the glitter fade, buff, and gloss. I hope that clears things up for you.
I just need to invest in some better products i think..But I also am very fond of my Natural nails as well, so I am always torn if I want acrylic or not..At least now I know the best tips for doing them beautifully! Thanks! Any tips on which products I should invest in and where I can get them?
@ssJonochi You are so welcome! Natural nails or acrylic? I can see where that would be a tough choice. Take your time deciding, and do what’s best for you. Either way I’m there for ya. Always use the cheap stuff for practicing, but when its time to actually wear the acrylic, definitely invest in quality products. NSI & CND are awesome! I’m currently with NSI but I love both. Both are reasonably priced too. I’ve sent you a msg with some links. Thanks for your support. Anytime I can help. : )
The main reason why I started watching nail videos on YouTube is because I just really thought that when I got my nails done at the salon, it was being done wrong. I would pay someone $40 to use DIRTY, UNSANITIZED equipment, they would rush through my set, and my nails would lift, and OMG... my nails would be SO weak afterwards, it would take a good 2-3 months to have strong nails again. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting vids about how a set SHOULD be done, because now I know what to look for! :)
@bLuRoXy89 Yes, sadly its salons like that that leave a black eye on the industry. Nail services at any salon are supposed to be relaxing, enjoyable, fun, and leave you with a memorable experience. Not cut up cuticles and an infection. Kudos to you for keeping your eyes open, and thank you for giving me the idea to do a video on “Salons: what to look for.” I’ll credit you when I get to it. : )
I found ur channel after viewing a bit of drama on another channel that i believe was going on with one of ur followers ...i think..idk the whole story..neway to tell u the truth I thought u were going to b one of those..I no it all n no one is better then me people..but I am very happy to c that u truely r a real pro trying to help people. I luv ur channel and I will as of now b a devoted follower. Iv been doing my nails for bout a year now And now c a lot of mistakes I was making. Thank you
@gypsyqueen505 Thank you for your kind thoughts. Yes, YouTube seems to be a magnet for drama. I try to stay above the pettiness so my help doesn’t get lost in the scuffle. In the past I’ve defended myself with aggression when it was sorely needed, but I mostly stay focused on people like you—those who make it worth my time. I’m trying to help anyone looking for the truth about professional nail care & safety, and I keep myself available to them. Glad you found me, I’m here if you need. ◦◕‿◕◦
@x3addictions The cuticle is not being completely removed. That one little sopt is lifting because it's coming into contact with cuticle. Make sure all cuticle is "completely" removed before applying acrylic, and you won't have this problem. Look me up if you're ever in Cali, I'll hook you up right. Happy New Year. ◦◕‿◕◦
ive been looking for somebody that does nails like this forever...i knewwww there had to b a way to eliminate lifting without all the filing............i did a course in my country and we had to file and prime and ive had probs with air bubbles in my acrylic beads from day one.... your officially my fav channel ^_^
hello, im in nail school right now have about 150 hours to go, so i just didnt understand this video very much as to that u didnt etch, use primer or use the 2-3 ball method starting at the free edge working your way back to the cuticle area could u please elaborate?
@skhalaf2007 It’s pretty self explanatory. While you’re in school it’s very important to do nails the way you are taught, that method is what you will be scored on during your state exams. But schools don’t teach advanced methods to go along with advanced products—that’s what I teach. Anyone expecting to make it in this field will have to learn how to utilize nail technology with advancing products, so they can learn the safest and easiest way to apply acrylic. Thank you for your comment. : )
got a ? im learning to do acrylics but i saw u did not buff the nail at any moment.. u just dehydrated the nail.. was it left out or is this the type of information i need to forget about the other videos?? thanks in advance and thank you for the nice videos u make.
@Lyxiz1 You saw correctly. I do not use primer and I do not file on the natural nail plate. I’m an advanced nail technician, with advanced methods. And I want to teach others they too can be advanced in their application and methods.
WE NO LONGER have to destroy our natural nails to do this!
Thank you for watching, people like you make my efforts worthwhile. : )
your welcome :D there brilliant ^_^ um can you just put the top coat of clear acrylic on and leave it? and can you just leave it without buffing it down? also, would a high quality clear nail polish work? im mearly curious as what to buy without a uv coat and am not sure on products, brands, and their quality etc :) Sorrie for all the questions, but i trust what you'll tell me :) <3
@BellatrixReid Your right to trust me. As a highly skilled professional I want EVERYONE who loves doing nails to be good at it, and use the products safely without damaging their own nails. However, so I don't have to leave miltiple posts, I'm going to send you a PM so I can properly explain about top coats and sealants. I think you might be mixing up the two products.
My question is since you're not supposed to use primer, then what DO you use to dehydrate the nail plate?? I have always used BOND-AID and then a PRIMER before applying my acrylic
@PinkyBoicourt Sweetheart, primer is not meant to dehydrate the nail. Its reaction with the monomer causes adhesion to the nail late. I'm not sure what Bond-aid is—a dehydrator?
To prime or not to prime is a personal choice each of you has to make. Not everyone has the skill with acrylic to completely eliminate it. But because its so very bad, everyone owes it to themselves to try. Eventually we all had to take the training wheels off our bikes. : ) Let me know if I can be of ANY help to you.
@LadyNailz I'm not too sure what Bond-Aid is....I always saw the nail techs at my local salon use it and the primer before applying the acrylic. My main question is what do YOU use to dehydrate the nail plate before applying the acrylic.
@PinkyBoicourt I use NSI's “Nail Pure Plus.” Amazing product. It's not just a dehydrator, but it also leaves behind microbial agents on the nail plate to prevent infections long after application. I love it! This is why I tell people not to mix product brands, my no lift nails could be the result of combined effort of both my skill and NSI's great products. I recommend this even if you don’t use NSI. : )
(ran out of characters :P) and was done using white tips and pink and clear powder only, however, they didnt do a uv gel top coat, but the nail came up completeley shiny regardless? i dont remember any topcoat being done at all? :S and i wanted to know if you didnt want to use a gel uv coat, what can be done and what do you think they did for me? thankyooou very much :D <3
This video was brilliant :D im a newbie to the whole acrylics nails world and oh my god have you opened my eyes to the ammaturistic ways of half of the youtubers out there! i thought id learnt a lot from them but yours cuts out a lot of products and pointless steps :) this is brilliant cause im very prone to allergic reactions and i did have my worries about those primers etc :D i do have one question :) when i had my nails done for my prom earlier this year in may, i had a basic french manicure
@BellatrixReid (ran out of characters :P) and was done using white tips and pink and clear powder only, however, they didnt do a uv gel top coat, but the nail came up completeley shiny regardless? i dont remember any topcoat being done at all? :S and i wanted to know if you didnt want to use a gel uv coat, what can be done and what do you think they did for me? thankyooou very much :D <3

@BellatrixReid Hi thanks for commenting. The only thing that will shine nails without the use of a product such as top coat or gel, is an oil buff. With a few drops of oil and a smoothing buffer, the nails can be buffed to a high gloss shine. I’m so very glad my videos could be of help to you, thank you for your support. : )
so you dont buff the natual shine of th nail before application? thank you so much for your video it allowed me to see all the mistakes i was doing :)
@AMORSOINLOVE The only thing you need to do is dehydrate the nail plate. When this is done properly there is no shine, only a dehydrated nail plate that will allow the acrylic product to properly adhere. A true tech like you knows how to admit their mistakes, and amend them. Kudos to you, and thanks so much for your support. : )
Thankyou for your amazing videos,I personally am a hugh believer in nail enhancements without damage to the natural nail plate,This is the future and I believe will save the nail industry ,making it more popular and keep clients long term without them fearing damage,WONDERFUL WORK
@CooksAndLooks Thank you so much for your support, so glad to know we're on the same page. Yes, ultimately damage to natural nails will be a thing of the past.
Thank you for your comments, and taking the time to watch. People like you make it all worth while. : )
@Akameru89 That is the reverse method. In school they teach acrylics using the 3 bead method, starting from free edge to base. Any technique other than that (like what I did in the video) is referred to as the "reverse" method. Thank you for watching.
@dovlecel21 You're welcome. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I do plan to show it all! Just taking it one video at a time. I'm hoping to get to the p&w sculptured real soon. Thanks again for your support. : )
i'm so glad to have fount this, i'm on my second yr of a nail tec course and usein ezflow products they have two liquids one no primer the other they say u have to use (confussin i must say) they teach me to use 3 beads and start from the tip then middle then cuticle which i find hard, so gunna try your way and hopefully will do much better :S i love doin nails but not always happy with them after, so fingers crossed i will after i do it your way, great vid :)
@TwistedPrincess87 Thanks so much for your kind words. The one or two bead method is much easier, starting from top to bottom. However, schools teach the three bead method because that’s how it must be done during your state exams. By all means practice my way on the side, but make sure you’re able to competently apply acrylic using the method you’re taught in school. That’s what you will be scored on. After graduation you can apply your beads any way you want! Good luck in school. : )
@LadyNailz :) thank you very much hope i can get as good as u still takes me just over and hour and a half but my time is cumin down more and more so fingers crossed and thankz again :)
@TwistedPrincess87 It only takes practice. : ) If you can apply a full set of acrylic nails (no skipping sanitation) in an hour and 30 minutes or less, then your time is just right. Kudos to you! Also remember that time partly justifies your fee. So don't get too fast there, Speedy Gonzalas. : ) Good luck to you.
@LadyNailz :) thank you very much hope i can get as good as u still takes me just over and hour and a half but my time is cumin down more and more so fingers crossed and thankz again :) oh and is it easyer to use a rounded brush or a flat ended brush??? sorry just tryin to get as much info as i can so i can keep gettin better and better i wanna be a good nail tec not an ok one lol
@TwistedPrincess87 Round good quality sable brushes are best for working with acrylic. But if you find a flat brush works better for you, then go for it. It's is a personal choice, so use whichever works for you. Also consider a flat #8 size brush doesn't hold the same amount of liquid as a round #8.
@TwistedPrincess87 You are not a pain! You're eager to learn, and I'm here to help. What's scary is those I know that ARE NOT asking questions. People's response to my videos are a clear indication between those who have the heart of a professional, and those who are happy in their ignorance. You have what it takes to go the distance in this very lucrative business, and with someone like me to guide you in the right direction… you’re going all the way. Ask all the questions you need. : )
Yup ! It's official !!! I love this video series you are doing !!!! So many peeps are going to learn the correct way to apply acrylic :0) And for this I am thankful for :0)
@SuperSanchez21 I would suggest using the low grade stuff for practice. By practice I mean not on live people. lol. But if your budget allows you to practice with the good stuff, then by all means, go for it. But keep in mind during the practice stage you will go through tons of liquid and powder. I’ve added two links for you in the detail box. Good luck, and let me know if you need any help.
Thanks for your videos. I feel like I can really trust the information you offer us!
I also have a question. I work at a grocery store where I'm constantly opening boxes and working with my hands. My polish chips after one day, and my natural nails are getting all kinds of breaks and rips as a result of all the work. I started to wear latex gloves which has only helped slightly. I've thought about starting to practice with acrylic, but I'm hesitant. Do you have any suggestions to save my nails?
@hopesicle You CAN trust me. Remember, I’m only here out of genuine interest and professional concern for those who truly want to learn. But I know first hand of your situation, thanks to my son. Constant contact with cardboard (all textiles) WILL suck the life from your hands and nails. It stopped once he wore gloves—but you said had minimal effect. I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but unless you can take your hands out of the ill-effect-causing situation, you can’t stop the damage.
@hopesicle Here are two options to try: 1) Latex is bad news. Nearly everyone has adverse reactions to it, especially the powder that’s inside. Try switching to a different type of glove, something thicker like leather. 2) Before putting on your gloves, try adding cuticle oil and lotion, Vaseline Renewal—purple bottle. I hope this works for you, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Please let me know if your condition improves. Thank you for watching, good luck.
i see you have some products from nsi, i was thinking of buying powder and liquid products from them. Do you consider them a good product? Thank You for sharing your knowledge with us.
@dtaz456 Actually, ALL my products are NSI. I think NSI is awesome! I can say the same thing for CND's Retnetion too. Their powders are GREAT! I don't think you'll be sorry if you try them. Remember, products lines shouldn't be mixed, find the one that works best for you, and stay within it. Thank you so much for watching. : )
I've been doing my own nails for over 15 years. The only difference in what you did was not file the natural nail. I stopped doing that over a year ago, but I did it until I ruined my nails. I learn my nails from trial and error. When I read the book a few days ago, I found that Doug was confirming much of what I'd learned the heard way. This is one of my favorite videos because I know I'm doing the right thing. My nails look great! Thanks for this, LadyNailz!!!
@HusbandandWifeShow This is true, you spend enough time doing anything and you're gonna learn there's a right way to do it and a wrong way. I know how these ladies feel, my schooling wasn't much better than what it is today. But again, this is our career, we decided how far we'll take it. Thanks so much for watching, so very glad I could help. : )
@1summertime66 Thank you thank you so much for your sweet
compliments. People like you make it so worth the time & trouble.
I'm just glad you're enjoying the videos, and I hope you get all the help and info you need. I have lots more coming up, nail art too. I haven't forgotten the nail art. : )
You most certainly were watching correctly. In fact I didn’t file on the natural nail at all. It’s been two weeks since I did those nails, and not a single nail has lifted. I don’t advocate using a drill at all, unless it is for a specific purpose. Certainly it should NEVER be used on the natural nail! (reply continued)
@LadyNailz so you did not remove the shine from the nails at all? When i went to school for nails they said that you need "tiny" scratches for the acrylic or gel to adhere to the nail.
@UnderTheLilyShadow If you mean the natural nail plate, no I did not remove the shine. If the nail plate is properly dehydrated there is no shine. I was taught the same step when I was in school. But professional acrylic products are far more advanced now. Destroying the natural nail plate is no longer necessary to apply enhancements, if you’re using professional products. Thank you for watching and your comments. : )
I do have one question. When I go and get my nails done with a full set at the salon, they always e-file the nail bed after they apply the tips. I noticed you didn't do this. Was I watching correctly?
You have brought up so many good point that make since. I am so angry and almost want to file a lawsuit against all of the nail salons I have spent thousands of dollars at! I can't wait to get my license so I can do nails the RIGHT WAY too! Thanks for the heads up! ;)
@MoniMakingMakeup (Cont.) People only use drills to cut time. Cutting time isn’t necessary if you know exactly what you’re doing. I added a link in the description box to read a post I did on drills. Thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed. : )
@LadyNailz...My husband bought me a new drill a few weeks ago, and I've used it a few times, but am trying not to use it. I prefer to file. Product portion is an art that needs to be practiced much more. I'm trying, but it can be hard.
@HusbandandWifeShow You're right! But you seem to truly understand the fundamentals of doing acrylic nails, that's why I already know you're doing just fine. All anyone can do it practice until its perfected. Dedication will only make it easier. Good luck to you. : )

And yes, you can certainly apply acrylic on natural nails using the forms, they're called sculptered.
Thanks for watching. ◦◕‿◕◦

OMG thank you! This is such an amazing vid!
I just need to invest in some better products i think..But I also am very fond of my Natural nails as well, so I am always torn if I want acrylic or not..At least now I know the best tips for doing them beautifully! Thanks! Any tips on which products I should invest in and where I can get them?
ssJonochi 1 year ago

bLuRoXy89 1 year ago
@bLuRoXy89 Yes, sadly its salons like that that leave a black eye on the industry. Nail services at any salon are supposed to be relaxing, enjoyable, fun, and leave you with a memorable experience. Not cut up cuticles and an infection. Kudos to you for keeping your eyes open, and thank you for giving me the idea to do a video on “Salons: what to look for.” I’ll credit you when I get to it. : )

i want you to do my nails :)
x3addictions 1 year ago
@x3addictions The cuticle is not being completely removed. That one little sopt is lifting because it's coming into contact with cuticle. Make sure all cuticle is "completely" removed before applying acrylic, and you won't have this problem. Look me up if you're ever in Cali, I'll hook you up right. Happy New Year. ◦◕‿◕◦

hello, im in nail school right now have about 150 hours to go, so i just didnt understand this video very much as to that u didnt etch, use primer or use the 2-3 ball method starting at the free edge working your way back to the cuticle area could u please elaborate?
skhalaf2007 1 year ago
@skhalaf2007 It’s pretty self explanatory. While you’re in school it’s very important to do nails the way you are taught, that method is what you will be scored on during your state exams. But schools don’t teach advanced methods to go along with advanced products—that’s what I teach. Anyone expecting to make it in this field will have to learn how to utilize nail technology with advancing products, so they can learn the safest and easiest way to apply acrylic. Thank you for your comment. : )
LadyNailz 1 year ago
got a ? im learning to do acrylics but i saw u did not buff the nail at any moment.. u just dehydrated the nail.. was it left out or is this the type of information i need to forget about the other videos?? thanks in advance and thank you for the nice videos u make.
Lyxiz1 1 year ago
@Lyxiz1 You saw correctly. I do not use primer and I do not file on the natural nail plate. I’m an advanced nail technician, with advanced methods. And I want to teach others they too can be advanced in their application and methods.
WE NO LONGER have to destroy our natural nails to do this!
Thank you for watching, people like you make my efforts worthwhile. : )
LadyNailz 1 year ago
your welcome :D there brilliant ^_^ um can you just put the top coat of clear acrylic on and leave it? and can you just leave it without buffing it down? also, would a high quality clear nail polish work? im mearly curious as what to buy without a uv coat and am not sure on products, brands, and their quality etc :) Sorrie for all the questions, but i trust what you'll tell me :) <3
BellatrixReid 1 year ago
@BellatrixReid Your right to trust me. As a highly skilled professional I want EVERYONE who loves doing nails to be good at it, and use the products safely without damaging their own nails. However, so I don't have to leave miltiple posts, I'm going to send you a PM so I can properly explain about top coats and sealants. I think you might be mixing up the two products.
LadyNailz 1 year ago
My question is since you're not supposed to use primer, then what DO you use to dehydrate the nail plate?? I have always used BOND-AID and then a PRIMER before applying my acrylic
PinkyBoicourt 1 year ago
@PinkyBoicourt Sweetheart, primer is not meant to dehydrate the nail. Its reaction with the monomer causes adhesion to the nail late. I'm not sure what Bond-aid is—a dehydrator?
To prime or not to prime is a personal choice each of you has to make. Not everyone has the skill with acrylic to completely eliminate it. But because its so very bad, everyone owes it to themselves to try. Eventually we all had to take the training wheels off our bikes. : ) Let me know if I can be of ANY help to you.
LadyNailz 1 year ago
@LadyNailz I'm not too sure what Bond-Aid is....I always saw the nail techs at my local salon use it and the primer before applying the acrylic. My main question is what do YOU use to dehydrate the nail plate before applying the acrylic.
PinkyBoicourt 1 year ago
@PinkyBoicourt I use NSI's “Nail Pure Plus.” Amazing product. It's not just a dehydrator, but it also leaves behind microbial agents on the nail plate to prevent infections long after application. I love it! This is why I tell people not to mix product brands, my no lift nails could be the result of combined effort of both my skill and NSI's great products. I recommend this even if you don’t use NSI. : )

LadyNailz 1 year ago
so you dont buff the natual shine of th nail before application? thank you so much for your video it allowed me to see all the mistakes i was doing :)
AMORSOINLOVE 1 year ago
@AMORSOINLOVE The only thing you need to do is dehydrate the nail plate. When this is done properly there is no shine, only a dehydrated nail plate that will allow the acrylic product to properly adhere. A true tech like you knows how to admit their mistakes, and amend them. Kudos to you, and thanks so much for your support. : )

Do you ever use the reversed method??
Akameru89 1 year ago
@Akameru89 That is the reverse method. In school they teach acrylics using the 3 bead method, starting from free edge to base. Any technique other than that (like what I did in the video) is referred to as the "reverse" method. Thank you for watching.

i'm so glad to have fount this, i'm on my second yr of a nail tec course and usein ezflow products they have two liquids one no primer the other they say u have to use (confussin i must say) they teach me to use 3 beads and start from the tip then middle then cuticle which i find hard, so gunna try your way and hopefully will do much better :S i love doin nails but not always happy with them after, so fingers crossed i will after i do it your way, great vid :)
TwistedPrincess87 1 year ago
@TwistedPrincess87 Thanks so much for your kind words. The one or two bead method is much easier, starting from top to bottom. However, schools teach the three bead method because that’s how it must be done during your state exams. By all means practice my way on the side, but make sure you’re able to competently apply acrylic using the method you’re taught in school. That’s what you will be scored on. After graduation you can apply your beads any way you want! Good luck in school. : )

TwistedPrincess87 1 year ago
@TwistedPrincess87 Round good quality sable brushes are best for working with acrylic. But if you find a flat brush works better for you, then go for it. It's is a personal choice, so use whichever works for you. Also consider a flat #8 size brush doesn't hold the same amount of liquid as a round #8.

@TwistedPrincess87 You are not a pain! You're eager to learn, and I'm here to help. What's scary is those I know that ARE NOT asking questions. time to start practicing again but first need to buy good quality products like you said. but were can I buy them or what brand?
SuperSanchez21 1 year ago

Do you have any suggestions to save my nails?
hopesicle 1 year ago
@hopesicle You CAN trust me. Remember, I’m only here out of genuine interest and professional concern for those who truly want to learn. But I know first hand of your situation, thanks to my son. Constant contact with cardboard (all textiles) WILL suck the life from your hands and nails. It stopped once he wore gloves—but you said had minimal effect. I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but unless you can take your hands out of the ill-effect-causing situation, you can’t stop the damage.

hopesicle 1 year ago
@hopesicle Here are two options to try: 1) Latex is bad news. Nearly everyone has adverse reactions to it, especially the powder that’s inside. Try switching to a different type of glove, something thicker like leather. 2) Before putting on your gloves, try adding cuticle oil and lotion, Vaseline Renewal—purple bottle. I hope this works for you, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Please let me know if your condition improves. Thank you for watching, good luck.

LadyNailz 1 year ago
You most certainly were watching correctly. In fact I didn’t file on the natural nail at all. It’s been two weeks since I did those nails, and not a single nail has lifted. I don’t advocate using a drill at all, unless it is for a specific purpose. Certainly it should NEVER be used on the natural nail! (reply continued)
LadyNailz 1 year ago
@LadyNailz so you did not remove the shine from the nails at all? When i went to school for nails they said that you need "tiny" scratches for the acrylic or gel to adhere to the nail.
UnderTheLilyShadow 1 year ago
