  • Great video. After a couple of minutes I got used to British pronunciation and was able to concentrate on information. Will wait for new videos!

  • thank you

  • Very, very good explanation. Awesome in fact. Thank you.

  • ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FROM RUSSIA. 2 QUESTIONS. 1 IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE IN SELLING PRICE AT THE ISSUE PREFERRED AND COMMON? 2 WHO DOES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHICH STOCK TO BUY?

PLS EXPLAIN OR LET ME KNOW WHERE COULD I FIND AN ANSWER.

  • These white boards are great to learn about business, commerce and economics. This has really helped me know more about the market.

  • This is really good. I posted your video on my blog site a couple of days ago.

I think that someone just barely above the basic level can watch your video and understand the repayment sequence.

You also do a great job of explaining WHY a company would swap debt for equity and why an investor might be willing, too.

    Thank you.

  • Wonderful videos!! great way to learn about the market.

  • Its a shame only a few thousand people have saw this. This is great information

  • this guy is a genius. late at nite here in manchester (north west england) I enjoy his teachings over a stiff double vodka and red bull with a pint of holsten pils chaser! never fails to enlighten me at times like this! thank you sir!

  • can you speak normal

  • This video just confirmed my theory on the dislikes button; 1 is the default number.

Capital structure was once complex, its now simple, thank you.

  • Brilliant!

  • Awesome analogy!

  • very good example coded nicely explained thanks

  • Well explained. Easy to follow. Thanks

  • superb

  • hey paddy

does this work like the equity swaps as explained on wiki?

as in does the bond holders behave like the 'A' in the wiki example

  • The first time this is explained to me so clearly!

  • Best video. Thank you for your time and your explanation.

  • These vids are awesome!...but I got a question...what is the incentive to go to coach? Maybe the preferreds are feeling the heat, but the bondholders - esp. if they're secured, - may not (plus free rider problem). They will size up the company's assets, secured interests, and figure out whether to take the plunge or not. My question is - what does mgmt say to bondholders to get them to convert? I know the plane might crash - but there's got to more than that kind of threatening persuasion.

  • Thank you for the clear and easy-to-understand explanation. Very well done.

  • Can you please do something on junk bonds? I'm loving your videos!

  • eXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He is simply great...Kudos to a talent like this...

    You rock sir....God bless you

  • I need to interview someone who listens to marketplace radio for one of my classes. If someone could answer these questions it would be great. Thanks

    1. Why do you listen to marketplace?

2.How did you hear about it?

    3. What is your favorite thing about the show?

    4. How often do you use their website?

  • 1. Im interested in finance/economics

    2. Stumbled upon it by looking up other financial videos on youtube

    3. easy to understand and short

    4. i only use youtube so far

  • @62789dj Totally second what @coreyk123 wrote!

  • @62789dj i hope this isn't too late...i just found these videos...

    1. i listen on the radio too to get easy-to-digest explanation and analysis

    2. the online stuff - i just did a google search for "repo market" and this came up

    3. Paddy - for sure - he's so cute!

    4. the marketplace website - i never have used that.

  • hey thank you for these video's, they are very usefull!

  • i would advise my teacher to come see how a good wxplination looks like.

  • I like how he realized his plane looked a little wonky, b/c, honestly, that thing looked like a bisected penis.

  • Love the videos (and the endings,) keep'em comin!

  • I need a drink :)

  • love your endings. whiskey, wine, vodaka?

  • Goodness, Paddy taught me in a matter of 6 minutes and 43 seconds what would take perhaps a whole class period to teach this concept.

    Oh he's good!

  • Marketplace rocks! Thanks Paddy!

  • Great job Paddy, just keep going :) We love ur videos, and to be honest: these 10 minute video's are more helpful then the what i've been teached in the past 3 years of economics class

  • Those three years of economics class made you understand these videos. Watching these videos is a good way to go deeper into the theory.

Things you learn at school are essential, but not always as exciting as these videos from marketplacevideos :P

  • No, You're wrong there buddy. These videos are more useful than 3 years in economics class.

  • Well lucky for the 1st class loan holders. All the drink carts are going to go rolling towards the front of the plane as it nose dives! Of course the pilots are going to get a little tipsy too!

  • Thanks again MarketPlace!! :)

  • Keep up the good videos. I like this format for learning about something that I know nothing about!

  • nice video!

  • You are great. Can you also give some tips on investment?

  • thanks !

  • Awesome videos! Please keep it up!
