They should have given Lee so much more credit than what they gave him. He should have gained so much respect and so much acknowlegment, but like always, they treat the non-important character like crap.
He pwnd Gaara and proved that Taijutsu is as good as Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. But, of course, Gaara has absolute defense and it was tough, but damn it, I bet none of those other Genins would have stood a chance against Gaara. They do after the month of training, but now, I don't think so.
Lee should of won as much as I also respect gaara. It's just, he puts forth more effort than anyone in this show. He does beyond what his body is capable of. He does all that hard work, and in the end :( just comes out not victorious. Its really sad to see.

I totally agree with you. I cry every time I watch it, especially towards the end. Salute to Rock Lee. Though I also pity Gaara for he has a sad childhood that nothing else in the world would compensate.
lee gets wounded so bad that he cant be a ninja and later in the episodes he has to chose between losing his life and fixing his arm and leg in a surgury that tsunade does, but lee comes back full recovered eventually, but it sucks that he couldnt do anything for a long time.
