  • California has it all... the ocean, beaches, palm trees, mountains, forests, canyons, etc. What a diverse state.

  • This is where the real combination for BIG & TALL redwoods begins, all the way up to Jedediah Smith, by Hiouchi. Although Redwood National Park has the tallest redwoods, and the Prairie Creek and Jed Smith the Largest, Rockefeller Forest has the tallest average canopy height. Hope to get down there in the next two to three weeks again for hiking and photographs.

  • i have seen these, and the incredible thing is no matter how impressive they look on video, you just HAVE to see them in person. it's nowhere near the same.

  • beautiful, but just MY opinion, id probably have rather walked through that, just think how big guys they took out for that road, ITS A SHAME, BUT HEY, WHAT CAN YA DO ?

  • This is a little stretch between Myers Flat (home of the World Famous Drive Thru Tree) and Miranda (home of the also world famous Korbly Wood Products.... the last REAL Redwood Craftsman on the West Coast).... about 2 miles from my childhood home

  • I may have to try a video like this. I'm guessing that it may be better to drive half as fast to aid focusing, then double the video speed.

  • lots of sports car drive in this street towards highway 1.

  • (Sigh) Good memories of a road trip I took.

  • this is my home its beautiful... love the redwoods. the smith river is one of the best places to go and swim and be surrounded by redwoods too. and Jedidiah state park too

  • who composed this music??

  • oh my god, this makes the east coast look worse than literal shit

  • Hell yeah! seeing this amazing place this week as I visit my new campus at Humboldt

  • que lindoo!!!adorei..

  • Stanley park used to have some Douglas-fir that were 325 feet tall (as tall as a good sized Redwood). But they've all blown down in windstorms.

  • are you allowed to get out

  • yes. there are pullouts and you can walk around in the forest. its a beautiful experience.

  • I bet it's absolutely amazing.

  • where is that?

  • Northern California.

  • Old 101, north of Garberville. Sweet times up there....

  • It's not identical to Jed Smith redwoods, but the highway and drive in this video resemble going through Jedediah Smith redwoods near Simpson Reed trail. I hiked in the redwoods almost every few weeks. URLs don't work here, but Google "mdvaden" and "grove of titans" to find my redwood page about the largest known coast redwoods.
