This is Joe Dante's 3rd movie and the one which Launch him to the fame,produced by Roger Corman,this one was shot in south Texas at San Marcos area with a very Low Budget...I saw this one by mistake at the Movies cause I was like 6 year old by then and it was a "B" movie,with Blood a Nudity....And not feel Sorry about it!!

@sns21274 Piranhas actually aren't that dangerous, just a small bit of trivia. They won't attack humans unless they're absolutely starved. The myth about piranhas being absurdly dangerous started when a former US president took a trip to south America, and the locals played a trick on him by blocking off a section of river, filling it with piranhas, and completely starving them. Then they led a cow into the water to show him how "vicious and bloodthirsty" they were. They were just starved.
