Russian Pointe Shoes are very pretty, but they dont exactly support your feet. At least for some people.

I prefer Sansha Recitals, Gaynor Minden, or Capezio Contempora.

Gaynor Minden's are perfect for pointe cuz they reduce stress on the feet whether on pointe, demi-pointe or just plain old walking!!!! go gaynor minden!!!!!!

I have the Grandes for usual/class and Dolces for special/performance! I've been dancing for 30 years now (not pro but I teach and do exhibitions and shows sometimes) and Russians were made for me!

i have the rubin from the jewels collection. they are so perfect for my feet! i only dont like that they are a little loose on the sides since they dont have a drawstring.

its actually not much more expensive to have something custom, if you need to. it just takes a little longer to custom make it.

i love russian pointes i will never switch back to anything else. i wear dolce size 37 vamp2 width 2 and the shank i wear is hard flexible!!!!! the come in many different shanks too though. if the russians are too hard than i would Grishkos maybe an Ulanova i wore them and i liked but then i switched to the fouettes and they discontinued them and i went to russians and i Love them

I just bought russian pointes and i'm not sure i like them yet. i have narrow heels so it's very hard to find shoes that will fit. I wish I had konwn about polette before i bought mine because i like having the drawstrings to adjust the fit. So far I prefer Gaynor Minden.

I have Model Entrada. I just got them today. I thought I couldn't wear them. but guess what I can. I have a medium Hard flexible Shank with a V-2 Vamp. hehehe I love it.

Grishko and Capezio are good..but Capezio is really only better for barre ballet, because the pointe shoes by that brand don't last very long...

I would like to have had more specific information. It's virtually impossible to figure out how to fit a Russian Pointe if there's no retailer nearby (which there aren't). How wide (inches or cm) are the different widths? How long are the different vamp lenghths? Which shoe model works with what kind of foot (narrow & tapered? square foot?). It's hard to get the specific details!

they almost look like demi points but they are so gorgeous, i am going to try to get a pair of russian pointes. But i have a question, will it enhance my feet and help my arches or will it be harder for my feet?

russian pointes have a really hard box and shank, but once it breaks in they die incredibly fast, and the shanks crack a lot
