  • @dko9873 why?

  • Anyone know what kind of holster he is using for his sidearm?

  • @dko9873 Even the pros need to relearn the basics from time to time.

  • I love this vid! go through step 5 real slow, the part were it says that "once the target is acquired

, the finger enters the trigger guard" and notice when Chris actually has his finger on the trigger. In a real stress situation his first bullet will hit the ground about 2 feet in front of him!

  • That's some insane skill. I'm glad I don't have to worry about getting a gun and learning something this complex. Thankfully the UK's gun laws mean I don't have to keep up with my potentially psychopathic gun wielding neighbour by arming myself with anything more than the axe under my pillow since he most likely doesn't own one. Just think though... 73,140 other people watched this. I hope they haven't been practising more than you have.

  • @sweatykev01

Why do you believe your neighbors will kill you? Why do you believe the other 73,000 who watched this video would want to kill you?

    Projection much?

You should seek a shrink, bro.

  • @Anderasio was just pointing out there'd be no need for my protection and unless you are in a career where you carry a gun (which probably only a small proportion of that 73,140 must be) then you are most likely watching this for self defence out of a mild paranoia that it will some day be necessary to know this. I'm just saying I'm glad I don't have to worry about using a gun! Does like quite fun though.

  • @sweatykev01

Are you implying that only people who carry firearms are the victims of crime?

    That's pretty ignorant.

  • @Anderasio Not at all. They play an important role, both in facilitating and preventing crime but I didn't mean to imply anything like that. Only that it seems (with the large number of views) as if people other than law enforcement/ military personnel and hobbyists consider this sort of information important enough to their safety that they learn it. From my point of view it seems a bit of a shame that that's necessary and I'm glad I don't have to worry about it. Didn't mean to offend!

  • @sweatykev01

Wait, you're glad you don't have the freedom to legally carry a firearm? Criminals are going to get one either way, it's kind of the definition of a criminal, one who breaks the law.

Would you rather prefer people didn't know how to correctly draw a firearm and shot themselves in the thigh? I've seen it done by trained military members and it's not pretty.

As with all forms of semi-dangerous activities, being well informed of safe behavior is paramount.

  • @Anderasio Aren't you getting a bit too defensive? Looks like sweatykev01 would rather prefer there be laws against gun ownership, as he stated several times. No need to ask a question that you already had an answer for, yes?

Besides, I would say wielding an efficient death dealing weapon is just a tiny bit more dangerous than "semi-dangerous."

  • @alohaamigogo

    >Besides, I would say wielding an efficient death dealing weapon is just a tiny bit more dangerous than "semi-dangerous."

It's only dangerous if you don't know how to use them.

Have you ever held a knife? A lethal weapon, but I'll bet you didn't slice your thigh open by accident because you knew how to handle it.

Same with firearms, they're made to be as simple as possible, as deadly to the enemy as possible and as safe for our side as possible.

  • @sweatykev01 So why would you not need to "worry about it"? Do you live in a crime free Nirvana (like Englhand)? Those of us who live in the real world plan to defend ourselves as necessary and which as much skill as we can develop.

  • @BobLeKatt American citizen (CCW, Bersa) living in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central Amercia:

Agree completely. Here in this Third World rat hole the crime rate is so very high. Death can come for you over a Fossil watch. I will not be a victim. I will defend myself to the last bullet, until my blade shatters, or my fists turn to powder.

  • @sweatykev01 sure, there may be "mild paranoia" but anyone who has been victim of a gun crime, and did not have a gun to defend themselves with, probably wish they had a little more paranoid, don't you think?

  • @sweatykev01 Graveyards are full of people that thought they would never need to learn the skills of self-protection. People who give up their liberties for a sense of offered protection deserve neither.

  • @sweatykev01 this guy was in the military..... whats wrong with owning a gun. unless you pull the trigger the gun doesent fire...

  • @sweatykev01 You live in the UK where, despite it being extremely difficult to purchase and own firearms, murders with guns STILL happen. Crime STILL happens, now you just have less to work with than the criminal trying to rob/beat/rape/murder you or your loved one.

  • @sweatykev01 And that is why we haven't been part of your crown since 1776.

  • Para sa mga newb gun owner.

  • it is kinna funny when guy bought this dvd home and watched it a few time. then they started to copy the same style from the dvd lol.. failed.

  • Yes, learn from the best

  • whats a good holster that can hold a pistol and a light attached

  • Safariland 6004

  • Its body mechanics, the muzzle is going to follow the direction your pointing. just like throwing a baseball, you point as you throw. it also places your grip higher on the weapons center of gravity, wich counteracts the recoil and muzzle flip when firing.

  • This guy is using what is normally referred to as a "competition grip". It basically helps to get maximum control of the gun when moving from one target to another and enhances accuracy. The theory is that the more hands you can get on the pistol, it will give you that much more control and you will see your shot groups get even tighter once mastered.

  • @0:51

Gents, whats the purpose in "thumbs toward the target"? Not critiquing; genuinely curious.

  • @tommyzDad

I believe it's to help with aiming. another reference point, if you will...

I am no professional, so I don't know if that's the reason or not.

  • @lvcsslacker

That's partly it, but to be more specific, please see my reply to tommyzDad.

  • It really does help especially with inital aiming. Less time to align sights.

  • I would assume it does a better job of holding the secondary on target, the thumb is for support and therefore have the support aimed at wait your aiming for, would increase accuracy.

But Im not a pistol type of man, so I wouldnt know.

  • @rommelAOE

Refer to my reply to tommyzDad.

  • quick target acqusition for short ranges. great for close quarters, such as for those "oh shit situations," meaning your primary weapon suddenly fail or out of rds, and you don't have enough time for a reload, cause your enemies are still approaching you, and you still need to engage. the pointing of the thumb helps to ensure the shooter, that the rds will land in that general direction during a hasty firefight.

  • Would you say that's quicker or requires less additional training into muscle memory than using the slide was one big sight?

  • @tommyzDad

Keeping your thumb towards the target ensures that you keep a firm grip on it and it keeps it out of the way anywhere else. There is nowhere else it should be besides there.

If your thumb is too high, depending on the pistol, it will mess with the Slide Release, which will really jack you up when you run empty (slide will not lock back). Any higher and you risk getting bitten by the recoil action (not fun). If your thumb is pointing outward, you are straight up holding it wrong, lol.

  • @tommyzDad it is about driving the gun for multiple rapid shots

  • @tommyzDad it is about driving the gun for multiple rapid shots

  • oh shut the fuck up. Acting like a child.

  • what the hell are you blabbering about?

  • are those heinie sights?

  • Interesting. Never thought about resting the support hand on the stomach.

  • It can also be done under the nipple, it doesn't really matter, it's done so you don't point the weapon at your support hand. People muzzle flag themselves with pistols all the time, especially while drawing.

  • just figured if anyone wanted to know

  • specs for his G17 are streamlight M3 weapon light, he is runnin a lonewolf threaded barrel with thread protector on it, warren tactical sights on it, and his grip refinishing was done by boresight solutions, he had extreme reducing and texturing done removed the finger groves, and beveled the trigger guard (glove bevel) is what boresight calls it on there site and frame texturing to help with getting a consistent grip on the gun

  • looks like the M3X for a short arm

  • @Takata240

Think hes sporting a glock 19, or could be a 17. Cant really tell, looks too small to be a 17 though. BTW thanks for pointing out his light, was curious.

  • @kevo1264 It is a 17.

  • Can anyone tell me what kind of holster Chris is using in this demonstration?

Also I was wondering if anyone could tell me how Travis Haley in AOTTC I, made his Safariland 6004 ride so high?

    Thank you very much!

  • @USSpecOps93

He could have removed the upper strap and shortened the pistol belt attachment.

  • @Anderasio Chris carries Raven Concealment

  • i believe it is a bladetech holster check um out ive been looking at there holsters alot for my new kimber TLE RL II but im dead bent on travis's safariland but i cant find any instock :'(

  • @USSpecOps93 What difference does it make? The owners of the FED, six guys, will be forclosing America & relocating everybody into "ZONES"". They already forclosed Columbia & Greece. For paper (fake/fiat) money loans. Its too late! The health care bill signed over our freedom & they are crashing the dollar to ZERO..Pretty soon they will come door to door and just take all the guns like they did in Katrina. It's called "Operation Vigilent Guard"..What chance will a handful make? FEMA hired XE.

  • @USSpecOps93

i duno about travis but chris is running a blade tech i think

  • slouch helps you control recoil better too, its no different than a boxing stance, you dont box standing straight up, you hunch over

  • He's making his body profile smaller. "Slouching" makes him a smaller target, there-for making him harder to hit.

  • costa has a mega slouch. don't know if that's some sorta tactical slouch though.

  • BISH THAT'S FUCKING TACSLOUCH.

  • lol nice . posted teh same video on my blog the same day.

  • Costa is way fast!!!

  • He's got nothing on Todd Jarrett though. Granted, their work is different.
