I was thinking it would have been cool if at the end when his friends help him up, that his friends turn into doctors and take the main guy back to his room, then it would look like he was a mental patient at a care hospital and the puppets were only in his immagination. In beginning it mentions self abuse, so the main character would be like a guy that got put in the mental institution because he is abusive towards himself.

I really loved it, along with all your other animations.

You could record it with a program like Audacity, but you'll still get all the background sound effects, like his face being fried, and falling down the cliff.

I'm not so sure there's much "trying to convince yourself" when it gets at this point. It's mostly unconscious and natural, and (this is only my guess) it's caused by focusing on resentment or other negativity instead of finding ways to release or burn off the resentment. That's not in the film though. I'm only spewing what I seem to have learned. Not sure if I'm right, but I hope it helps.

It's not about being controlled by hand puppets. The puppets, I think, and not to be taken literally. They are a metaphor for what a person creates when his anger level has gotten self-destructive.
