Putting a muzzle on a dog who is dog aggressive and forcing them into situations with other dogs is not only counterproductive but also dangerous. A great many dogs are fully capable of biting through a muzzle. If another dog were to start a fight with a muzzled animal the muzzled animal could get hurt very badly as they have no way to defend themselves, thus compounding the dog aggression by making the dog feel the need to always be on the defensive. I have a little female Pit Bull who is dog aggressive. I love her. Loving her means I have to keep her safe and keep other dogs safe in her presence. Loving her means being vigilant in public with her. It means making sure my yard is secure so that no strays can come in and get into a fight with her.

Whats sad is I volunteered at a humane society a few years back and they would not adopt the pits out no matter what the temperament.So must of them got Euthanized.It was very sad to see such beautiful dogs meet such a horrible end.I would see more aggressive behavior from other breeds more than the pits most of the time.To see some of those dogs brought in bleeding from fights or puppies coming in from over breeding them in poor neighborhoods..It is really sad

Putting a muzzle on a dog who is dog aggressive and forcing them into situations with other dogs is not only counterproductive but also dangerous. A great many dogs are fully capable of biting through a muzzle. If another dog were to start a fight with a muzzled animal the muzzled animal could get hurt very badly as they have no way to defend themselves, thus compounding the dog aggression by making the dog feel the need to always be on the defensive. I have a little female Pit Bull who is dog aggressive. I love her. Loving her means I have to keep her safe and keep other dogs safe in her presence. FACT: Out of 10 puppies in a litter, 3 of them will go to good homes & live a happy doggy life...the whole 15 years.

@trojanfan525 the American Pit Bull is a breed. pitbull is its shorter name, just like people call dobermans dobes, miniature pinschers min pins, yorkshire terrier yorki, chihuahua chi, pomeranian pom, etc. the only people who see it as a "general term" are those who dnt know a real pit bull when they see one and dnt care enough to educate themselves, not trying to sound rude but its true.

the dog at the end of this video was obviously a bait dog , even when pinned down he was still wagging his tail , any person who fights dogs , does not love their dogs , they are only loving the fact that they are money making machines !! these dogs were not bred originally for fighting , they were bred as protectors and for hunting , it took a selfish , greedy barstard to come up with the idea of pitting these animals against each other , shame on them and may they suffer

@meegyu they were not bred for hunting they were originally bred to fight bulls and bears and such,then to bait bulls because back in the days in england a bulls meat was not allowed to be sold before a pit bull baited it, then when they made it illigeal they put them in the pits.

americans havnt got a clue about these dogs, they make it sound as if the big mutts they have over there came from our country (england). the dogs that were bred here were staffordshire bull terriers. all theyve done is mix them with all different kinds of dogs to make them look more aggressive, no-one will ever know what dog has gone into making these American Pit Bulls thats why they differ so much from each other

Whats sad is I volunteered at a humane society a few years back and they would not adopt the pits out no matter what the temperament.So must of them got Euthanized.It was very sad to see such beautiful dogs meet such a horrible end.I would see more aggressive behavior from other breeds more than the pits most of the time.To see some of those dogs brought in bleeding from fights or puppies coming in from over breeding them in poor neighborhoods..It is really sad
