  • Im proud to be called alice thumbs up if ur called alice

  • I absolutely love this song and Years Ago, and have been listening to them nonstop for the past few days. *crazy smile* (Also... Is it weird that I think he sometimes sounds a little like Edward Elric in this song?)

  • Alice Cooper is honestly amazing.

i met him when i was in 8th grade, he's so down to earth and nice. Best experience ever.

  • My name is Steven and so is my son.

  • I love this song lol and it was way b4 my.time

  • To be blunt its the most Basic Alice Cooper written song that AlCoo ever wrote

  • @Warp10able To be blunt, lay off the blunts...

  • Don't get this really why some people got the chills and so forth.....the lyrics are not in the least bit scary emotional, don't seem to be very cleverly cryptic if you ask my opinion......

  • Comment removed

  • @Warp10able Nobody asked for your opinion...

  • I'll one up all of you. My name is Steven Cooper. x.x

  • this gave me so fucking chills

  • You idiots out there who go on about how young you are and hate the pop music crap, get over you're selves, no one gives a flying fuck.

  • Thumbs up for people named steven ;D

  • I was named after this song!

  • I guess if I'm going to have to share a name with a song, it might as well be this one.

  • if thats the way that god has planned you..............death we will all get there one day

  • I feel lucky enough to have a brother that would introduce me to this song. If it wasn't for him I would still be listening to DethKlok. Not that there not good, but I would rather listen to Alice Cooper now ^_^.

  • My bro died in 2011 may 1 12:50 it was hard my name is Steven so I loved it Mack more

  • Oh, God, this song touches all of us... we are reminded that we are connected and we all share a deep, collective pain. This is how we finally remember how to love and how to forgive.

  • Fucking Creepy Masterpiece!

  • I used the lyrics of this song as a basis/interpretation for a role playing post I wrote the other night for a character of mine.

  • Fuck yeah...

  • 5 people are fucking twats

  • that's my f*cking name b*tch!!

  • @TheWalkinNighmare 13 is little you stupid kid

  • Pure fuckin class troops!!

  • does anyone know what this songs about?? i love the song and i really want to know! please!!

  • @TheWalkinNighmare This IS Rock ... ! You obviously have no taste, now, like Wolferz siad, run along in your little superdry hoodie and tracksut bottoms and listen to something that can't even pass for music.

  • @FatRabbitSam haha i loved the superdry part :P classic.

  • fuck yeah!!! my name is steven!!!

  • WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!

    aol: you've got mail

  • great song xD

  • I remember when this first came out I remember seeing him in concert in Omaha NE after he made this

  • Since it's Halloween I wanted to play GO TO HELL or the BLACK WIDOW but i find this song to be much scarier and a way better song.

  • thumbs up if youre listening because of halloween

  • @TheWalkinNighmare So you like metal? Then you should appreciate one of the guys who helped to shape the genre to what it is today. Sure he's overshadowed by other bands such as Metallica, Megadeath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, but he was there changing the industry all the while. Also, if you really don't think he can sing, then you must not understand what good vocal talent is.

  • This song is actually really good, but my sister showed it too me when I was like 9-10 years old, and it freaking traumatized me, damnit XD

  • OMG!!!!!!! this some creeps me out!!!!!!! ahhh

  • Wow. I don’t get on my account for a few months and look what happens! Yes, I know I have grammatical errors in my statement. Needless to say, err is to human. My point being, you could understand my statement because of my punctuation. On the bright side, I find more and more teenagers that like the classics everyday!

  • I know where Alice Cooper actually lives!!!But I never seen him in it except 4 once!He was swimming in his pool.Got it from bing!NOT STALKER!!!JUST A FANATIC!!!

  • My mum introduced me to this song (and others by Alice Cooper) when I was about 14. 22 now, and I still love 'em. So twisted and awesome. <3

  • @TheWalkinNighmare awwww so cute

  • @TheWalkinNighmare Gtfo from youtube

  • @TheWalkinNighmare sorry buddy but 13 is little you have no say in this age group of music run along back to 7th grade

  • Lmao, I haven't listened to this song in soo long. I love it. and I'm 16.

  • I'm 13 and I can use a computer.

  • My dad use to make me and my sibblings listen to this one halloween. bahaha

  • Beautiful song, sad and haunting.

  • @TheWalkinNighmare dear trollololol "TROLL" junior... go away

  • I kinda love how everyone is going off the handle because teenages dont like this type of music (some do which is good) Well im a teenage and if my father didnt listen to this.. i probably wouldnt even know who he was . but he did and i know every freaking word in this whole album!! i <3 alice cooper.. But that doesnt mean that teenages that dont like this type of music have know taste . You guys go and say our music is shit and stuff .. so why can teenagers say that your music is shit.

  • @xXxJustine123 agreed, this stuff is brilliant but so is a lot of stuff nowadays, if anyone looks at me and says that all music is shit these days then i do not care about what they say. Alice cooper was on rage this morning and he had ke$ha with sex pistols, now im not a big fan of ke$ha but its the fact that he respects artists like her and respects classic music the same

  • you're 13. get over your self , Alice will be putting pennies on your eyes before people give a shit about your opinion.

  • @TheWalkinNighmare 13 is little bro and it seems like your attempting to troll Alice is weird in a good way it's what makes him the best at what he does so please if your going to comment on a song make it a nice comment theres no point in starting a flame war

  • @TheWalkinNighmare you and your mom can die now!! this song is a masterpiece!!!!

  • @TheWalkinNighmare is your mum single, doesn't matter anyway, tell her to message me immediately

  • I'm 20 years old and wish to hell I'd been born early enough to be an adult in the times of glorious music such as this. They just don't make music like this nowadays. I can't stand it, everything is such bullshit now.

  • God Welcome To My Nightmare was about ten years ahead of its time, eh?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWalkinNighmare Your obviously nothing but a pre-pubescent childish Justin Beiber fan that has not yet discovered what real music is.

  • I always knew that Stephen King deserved his own song.

  • proud to be name after this!!

  • I'll have this song at my son's 1st birthday, 2th birthday, all the other birthdays, at Christmas, at Easter, at Halloween, at my funeral and then I'll play it at harp in Heaven.

  • This song is funny, but it rocks so hard. A fucking masterpiece!

  • i am 15 and i love all rock eccept the sub genre called screamo that stuff i just dont get. but i rely dont care if the walkingnightmare is like that beacause im turning 16 and i dont give a shit about what a 13 year old pussy thinks about me even if i like arch enemy metallica nirvana or alice cooper i have a big varity of rock tase! :P

  • @TheWalkinNighmare You..are... a.. discrace to our generation... im 13 too and i went to a Cooper concert when i was ten and that was the best day of my life.. You make me want to kill something..

  • @TheWalkinNighmare o so now you don't like beavers now

  • oh i so love the biggining of the song that sweet voice just so steven :D

  • @TheWalkinNighmare: If you don't listen to Alice Cooper, you don't listen to metal.

  • @TheWalkinNighmare 13 is little, and while beiber and cyrus both suck, it has nothing to do with not being able to sing or bad song writting, because it is obvious not the case in either persons career.

  • i'm thirteen and i apologize on the behalf of thewalkinnighmare down there. not all of our age group constantly behaves like this -- some of us actually have the decency to not mock those with differing tastes.

  • i'm fucking raping the replay button xD

  • my favorite mens name!

  • This song brings tears to my eyes, and a shudder down my spine. It doesn't matter how many times I hear it. I remember sitting in my room almost twenty years ago and listening to "Welcome to my nightmare" over and over. But this was by far my favorite song on the album.

  • I am fourteen and I use grammer and have good taste in music. I apologize on behalf of ALL teenagers for those who have no taste. I can't wait 'til I leave this age group, it is a sad one.

  • @KarmaAndRock You, I like. Just be proud for who you are. Be true to yourself and don't forget that. :)

  • @KarmaAndRock The next age group isn't any better. There are also grammar mistakes in your comment.

  • @KarmaAndRock Just know that it's grammar, not grammer :)

  • @KarmaAndRock I'm sixteen and I should have been born in 1963.

  • @KarmaAndRock we are very much alike and i have friends like that as well although we do love techno music but only fantasy.

  • @KarmaAndRock Problem is when you leave that age group so do all the ones with no taste, face it kid, you're screwed.

  • @KarmaAndRock Well said.. i am fourteen too. i know exactly what you mean D:

  • @KarmaAndRock Thank you for being the only one who understands, i'm 15 and hate today's assholes with no taste in music!!

  • @creepyfreak88 I agree, all of my friends listen to that 50 cent or that Rihanna. I listen to the gods of music

  • @KarmaAndRock I was the same way, at that age. I was ashamed to be part of that age group.

  • those low frecuency screams freked me out

  • @TheWalkinNighmare if you listen to metal you would know that Alice Cooper started metal.....omg ur 13? your a little kid still lol. You have alot to understand about music when you get older, I hope you grow up and appreciate better music than the disturbed and godsmack you probably listen to and consider metal. you probably listen to some pretty lame ass music. get outta here kid let the adults enjoy the real music

  • Great song, for some reason this song reminds me of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells"

  • I'm proud to be named Steven.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWalkinNighmare

You are little! You're so cute! X)

(BTW, there's a thing called grammar. I think you should try it some time). ;)

  • @Wolferz795 your mom have a taste of music.

  • @Wolferz795 lol @TheWalkinNighmare Thought it would be funny? Wow...I dont get children these days XD

  • My brother's name is Steven because of this song O_O

  • i love this song but it creeps me out

  • @CarEdy23 same this song is awesome but a little creepy

  • @TheWalkinNighmare

Alright little one, you've stated your opinion. Now run along and listen to your Justin Beaver and Hannah Montana. You obviously don't belong here.

  • @Wolferz795 lol I can't wait till he learns what music is

  • I wonder who is Steven, he keeps coming back in very much songs, The Last Temptation is about him, in the cover of the Alice goes to hell vinyl is a bed time story to Steven and maybe he's Spider from Along Came A Spider, The Awakening and Wind Up Toy is about him and this song is called Steven, he seems to be a psychopath but some people think he's based on Vincent Furnier, can anybody tell me about the thoughtbehind Steven?

  • @princeofdarkness727 Well, I read one of Alice's blogs and here's what I think: He mentioned in Along Came a Spider how despite how he like's (his example) "Darth Vader" it brings comfort to see the bad guy lose. Such as when "Steven" gets caught for all the killings. I think it is a story he's singing rather than writing. And as you said, Steven obviously has some trama. Who knows, it could also be a fantasy from the great Coop. Hope this helped!

  • @KarmaAndRock But, which role played Steven in Welcome To My Nightmare and Cooper Goes To Hell, sometimes is Steven a little boy (the last temptation) and sometimes he don't know or he's a kid or not, (wind up toy), and, are Spider and Seven the same person or not? (at the end of the CD Spider uses the name Steven for himself)... And maybe Steven and Alice Cooper are the same person, I guess this is a new mystery of mother earth... :D

  • @princeofdarkness727 I think Steven had childhood trama, so he lived in a false reality where he was a child. So he's fighting the fact that he's a grown man. The earlier songs I think was the begining of the what would turn into murder. So in Along Came a Spider he has turned into a serial killer because of his mental trama.

  • this is the wron song! :'(

  • @nicemissmagik

    No it's not... ?

  • @nicemissmagik huh? It's Steven by Alice Cooper. What were you expecting?

  • This album reminds me of my life story! A little sad, but i love it

  • I LOVE this song! I'm so glad my mom introduced this to me today. I'm 14 and I'm glad I know the wonders of real music. I fell in love with the story as well.

  • this actually took me a little while to find a full version.

Most of the videos on youtube of this song are about 2 minutes long...

glad i finally found one :)

  • @nitramrennerb I actually have a longer version, I included Years Ago in front of it. Check out mine.

  • fuck i am old when i gonna read the latest comments here^^ I was 13 too when i began to listen to cooper and that was 12 years ago XD

    STEVEN! *rockon*

  • @everythingfan12 I was 13 too when I fell in love with Alice... My boyfriend gave me Dragon Town for my 14 bday :3 and I'm 15 now xD

  • @everythingfan12

I was around 13 when I fell in love with Alice Cooper too. Which wasn't too long ago either. :)

  • @Wolferz795 I was probably around that age too, 11 though, I think is when I started really listening to him, and got into it.. I went to school and went to sleep, always listening to his music :)

  • i was seven when i fell in love with him. now I am 27

  • same

  • @Wolferz795 me to guys the first thing i listened to was from the inside

  • @Wolferz795 i somewhat grew up with this music as my parents love the music, i liked it since i was about 6 years old, which is now 10 years ago & still love it :D

  • my friend dennis nickname "Ozzy" said i had to hear this song, just when i got out of the monastery back in 87, its beautiful and so sweet coming from alice cooper, i wish he could do a concert without his faux front, without the name or make up. standing ovation to the man behind the mask.

  • @greatmonarch2 It's his character. It's good because unlike most singers his stage personality isn't his 'normal life personality':-) On stage he is Alice, and when he leaves he's just Vincent.
