Was always my favorite character. I unfortunately wasn't very good at fighters when I was a kid but I continued to use him. I really really hope he comes out in UMvC3 as DLC, I would learn the shit out of him.

The only thing that makes them clearly similar is that they both pound the ground and they both use fire and electricity. There's also other characters that pound the ground with fire or electricity and have the same abilities in the game. They also have one kick that is similar and an elbow drop. The rest they don't share.
i believe that Marvel vs Capcom 1 original roster should never miss a game of Marvel vs Capcom even if they have to appear in a remastered version of the same game
I am very upset that Captain Commando, and a lot of other characters, weren't included in MvC3 or UMvC3. So I am going to make my own MvC game with all the characters. And it's going to have blackjack and hookers. You know what, forget the blackjack. And the MvC game.

I did not think all the original charcters would get in, but when CapCom was left out, that didn't sit well with me, especially when others were talking shit about how charaters weren't popular/Known enough to be in.
I'm some what surprised that Strider got in. I'm pleased with Heroes & Heralds Mode. Over 100 cards of characters that didn't get in the game. As for character DLC, only time will tell.

It's said (by Capcom itself) that Crimson Viper is kinda the equivalent of Captain Commando in MvC3, and that her fighting concept was actually based on Captain Commando himself.
Man we need a guy like him in the game new games. Ironfist and joe have the falcon punch appeal, but not by much. Jin had CapCom had it, and it was quite satifying to win with them.
Yep, funny thing is that neither him (the failed mascot) or Mega Man (the technically official mascot) is not in MvC3. Well, Ryu is pretty much considered the mascot of Capcom nowadays, anyway. Imo Capcom kinda gave up on Mega Man, as two new games (Mega Man Universe and Mega Man Legends 3) were cancelled. =/

Just about all the characters in have had recent games or their last game being released not too long ago. The last game CC had was like two decades ago. I know there hasn't been a new Strider or Final Fight game in a long time, but Strider and Haggar had pretty high fan demand going for them.

@DoomDarenxbourg They did the same thing with the previous games by advertising their shows. Which is why MVC2 had a crap load of X-men. And now they're doing the same thing with MVC3. Advertising different shows, comics, and movies. Exact same scenario. People just didn't notice back then because almost all the Marvel characters were in a 90s cartoon. Hell this how Jin got in. Cyberbots had recently gotten a port and they were promoting that by putting him in MVC1. And now people want him back.

@PetrovIvanMartin in the hands of a skilled player he can be deadly and im sure he's more effective than some of the earlier characters such as rool and servebot in mvc2 (im not criticizing him i like that little guy im just saying he is less effective than pw) but still gutted than CC and Jin did not make it. I think that CC was not added due to having similar moves to C. Viper and capcom did not want clones apart from ryu and akuma

Ye, I agree. To think that he started as a character appearing in Capcom's instruction manual from other games and grow to the point of having his own game, is great.
It's said (by Capcom itself) that Crimson Viper is kinda the equivalent of Captain Commando in MvC3, and that her fighting concept was actually based on Captain Commando himself.

Man we need a guy like him in the game new games. Ironfist and joe have the falcon punch appeal, but not by much. Jin had CapCom had it, and it was quite satifying to win with them.

Yep, funny thing is that neither him (the failed mascot) or Mega Man (the technically official mascot) is not in MvC3. Well, Ryu is pretty much considered the mascot of Capcom nowadays, anyway. Imo Capcom kinda gave up on Mega Man, as two new games (Mega Man Universe and Mega Man Legends 3) were cancelled. =/

@HyperSonicXtreme Actually, I believe he was their "true mascot", Megaman is just the character often associated with Capcom. Cap's been appearing in instruction manuals of Capcom's early days sporting the sheriff star stating "CAPCOM" and saying "thank you for playing".
And his name IS CAPtain COMmando.

@BlessedratdragonAlt Well I think Capcom wants to focus more on characters that are actually revelant. Just about all the characters in have had recent games or their last game being released not too long ago. The last game CC had was like two decades ago. I know there hasn't been a new Strider or Final Fight game in a long time, but Strider and Haggar had pretty high fan demand going for them.
