Even this early in the series there was foreshadowing of the end. "I don't want you to end up like..." cue shots of Shaz, Chris and Ray, dead and in coppers limbo, just like Alex.

I dont understand why Alex cant sense that Keets is a danger to her. Everytime she smiles at him i shudder. I hope that Gene doesnt turn out to be a ghost in the end (like most of the rumours suggest) itll be a real shame if him and Alex cant be together at the end. I really hope that the ending does these amazing shows justice. Real TV gold. Gonna miss my Friday nights with Bolly knickers and The Gene Genie.
