Reagan was a shill for Wall Street, a worthless, unprincipled scumbag with a fine presentation style. Reagan destroyed what was left of American society, released mental patients out on the streets and left record budgetary deficits while raising taxes on the poor. Even Nixon was a more honest man than Reagan.
Nixon spent the rest of his days despising and being consumed with paranoia of mainly Jack, Robert and even Ted. Ask E Howard Hunt, and Richard Helms.
How ugly did it really.?
JFK was the finest orator I have ever heard. Every President since, at some point in their administration has been seen in comparison. He set the standard.
None draw close.
God bless Jack Kennedy and everyone we have lost. My God what a time, and what inspiration they were. They are sorely missed.
The clips of this debate come from the 3rd of the 4 debates given. This was the only one of the 4 were Jack and Dick were not in the same studio, but in New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (Nixon). Apparently, not being in the same room together enabled both of them to open up more. Of the three debates following the first one, this one had the highest rating.
It also allowed Nixon to enjoy a meat-cooler cold temperature in his studio without Bobby Kennedy complaining, "what are they tryna do, freeze my bro to death?!"
Crummy Curtis brought cogent info rare to this site. He must be from that era and he must be nodding his head in agreement with your historically correct RFK quip. I tip my brim to both y'all.
I'd like to get confirmation on the "horse piss" quote attributed to Jack re: his back injections.
@nonplayerzealot4 Hi, re. JFK quote. I've read in bios that when Bobby cautioned him on injections he said "I don't care if it's horsep*ss, if it...." All he wanted was for the agonizing pain to lessen. It never really went away. The injections, as you may already know, consisted of B vitamins and maybe other vitamins, amphetamins, painkillers and human placenta.
@bon1042 Damn, I have no recollection of this post being that I made it a year ago, but I have indeed since heard the horsepiss quote corroborated in the History Channel docu on JFK (which I recommend if you haven't peeped it, bon).

Yes, all politicians have tempers. JFK was smart enough not to include his in the middle of committing crimes caught on tape.

I love the amused look on JFK's face as Nixon says "Senator Kennedy simply doesn't know what he's talking about".
DAMN that man was good looking haha
