Only thing I would consider changing is making walls with three strips each surrounding the light. Maybe put them on wheels to improve mobility if you want to fuss over the plants, adjust distance to light, etc. Very sleek look to it though! Respect
I see on your blog that the dimensions of this model are 4' X 4' X 6'. That would mean less than two feet of room for growth from slab to the light. Seems too small to me, but I am a total noob when it comes to growing. Obviously, you say you are having success with this system and I believe you. Can you maybe shed some light on how you are able to grow in such a small space?
Don't reckon you could improve it much. All i would probably do is add a large circular fan low down pointing up to improve air flow and maybe some kind of reflective panels to stick on the back of the slabs. Your not loosing much light in between the slabs but if you lined some cardboard with diamond mylar you could Velcro them to the upper and lower frame and increase you light. Also id have my run off go to the res but i love you design, vertical is the way forward. Much respect.
HAHA i built one like this too! great work! urs is way better! i had it in my room and the water i was using poured all over my rugs and i had to get rid of it cause it made my rugs stink lol. maybe i will set it up again,
That's a very nice system. I really think that it has a revolutionary design. This is the first time that I saw a vertical garden with that type of design because usually vertical gardens only have several pots lined-up vertically without any lighting fixed on the system. What other plants have you grown with the system so far?
The design is quite simple and its main advantage is that all parts can be found in any hardware store maing this a DIY hydroponic system. Plans are in my blog. Any sun and water loving plant will love this system. Dandelions do particularly well... Look up my other video of a larger system with two lights.
This is the newest grow system I built. Please comment and let me know what you think. If you have any ideas how to improve this I would love to hear them.
That just looks like it would be a pain in the ass to gather your food, and utilizes a proprietary medium.

We don't actually know if it's a good system or not. Do you have a vid of your grows?

@323Milhouse
Thanks! It works well too;-) my tomatoes are loving it.
The system cost me around $350 to build. Then there were 8 slabs
at $8 each, but I cut them in halves, and the light pump and fan
just under $700.
Thanks!
