The flash is likely to be the nature of the technology in use. I would assume the activation of a power generation system needed for propulsion instantaniously increased the intensity of the light emitted by the craft. It doesn't appear to accelerate, just instantaniously go to a specific velocity, almost like opening a hyperspace window

I believe this is a celebration marking the 2000 years since the 12 year old Jesus became active in the Word and spoke in the temple for the first time. Read the beginning of Luke when his family went to Jerusalem for Passover. @ValmisFilm I would actually disagree, we have three people in different parts of the city recording the same thing, which makes this almost certainly real. The flash is likely to be the nature of the technology in use. I would assume the activation of a power generation system needed for propulsion instantaniously increased the intensity of the light emitted by the craft. It doesn't appear to accelerate, just instantaniously go to a specific velocity, almost like opening a hyperspace window

I believe this is a celebration marking the 2000 years since the 12 year old Jesus became active in the Word and spoke in the temple for the first time. Read the beginning of Luke when his family went to Jerusalem for Passover. IF ( and i mean if ) this theory is correct, then I believe greater signs will occur to mark the death and resurrection 2k anniversary in about 20 or so years from now. And remember, even IF great speeds are capable - one MUST still be able to steer the ship. So it's not just a matter of some propulsion system but a matter of practicality as well. Voyager 1 travels at 38,000 mph for example. Lightspeed is 186,000 mph - do the math :)
