Gonna throw in my 2 cents about the bikini. As the mother of an autistic daughter, what I worry about is the fact that the majority of rape victims are mentally disabled. Normal people would never look at a child in a bikini and think perverted thoughts about them because we are normal! If everyone in this world were completely rational, we could dress and be however we wanted. Not all suits are revealing. My daughter has a shirt/short set from Target that is swimsuit material.

I could not believe all of the negative comments I saw on this video. I think this was a very nice video that shows the reality of what Mothers of Autisitc children have to go through. It is a daily struggle with no break. A normal kid could does not have to be supervised as heavily. I think the film was great. Hats off to the mother. She really has to be working hard with her child to see her respond som well.

She seemed so excited about her birthday party. I have worked with a lot of autistic children and some are so hard to communicate with so they have terrible anger issues. This little girl is a happy little angel.

@britny8842 that is not always true. The gluten free casin free diet does not work for all autisic children. My daughter is autisic and we did the diet. devoted ourselves to it and it had NO effect on her behaviors. The only thing it did was cause her weight to drop mainly because she refused to eat a lot of the things.

To me who has an autistic child the signs of autism in this girl are quite clear:

The sensory stuff; running her hands through the sand

The hand flapping (quite subtle but is there).

The weird gait with loose hand and arms.

The odd speech, and most of all the fact she never looks around for her Mum or at other people.

I see a single mom here. There is no one else to take the shots.

We are told to use one word when we try to get through so the kids don't concertrate on a word in the sentance that may not be the point.  One word makes it easier to get the point accross.

This is the third video of yours that I've seen and I can't get over how much your daughter is like my son Alex who ALSO happens to be 10 like the other Alex mentioned in a previous comment.

My son Adam is 6 and is also autistic, but much more verbal and social.

It's really encouraging to see other children with the same severity, (for lack of better words) of autsim as Alex having so much fun.

I have an autistic twin sister and has Asperger's Syndrome. We are in our twenties. I also have half of autism as well, but still normal. Life is hard for any parent who may be single(I think divorced mothers, mostly)and struggle to deal with his/her kids who can't get out of a place that is still filled with pieces of a puzzle and can't figure it out to put it together. The cure is still unknown, and it is a pretty, and very, sad life.

She is SO CUTE!! I know all about autism. I was angry and living in denial when my parents tried to explain that I had Asperger's Syndrome, which is like autism, but better functioning in communication, and people with it talk very early. I started to realize that AS and autism are not mental illnesses; they're just differences in wiring.

How old is she? She must be on the high side of the spectrum, which I would be if I were autistic. I appreciated the film.
