I saw the Doors the summer of 68 at the Public Auditorium in Cleveland. Morrison was drunk, couldn't remember the lyrics and fell down. Worse concert I've ever been to.

@Skiah666 it's a nice interesting thought that the government killed him but the fact is, it's not coincidence influencial artists died at 27. It's just what comes from getting fucked on booze and drugs everyday. When your in a financially able situation and everyone loves your music it's easy to get munted on whiskey and coke as often as your like which probs won't do the old heart and ego much good in the long run

@rockking05 be careful what u wish for. 3 girls tried to summon Jim on a board game. they were scared shitless for weeks after the nightly visits from a spirit. and it was not Jim. they played "The End" on a record player while doing so, you can't play that song without them running out of the room. ture story.

See? This is what made Jim Morrison a great man, he never hurt anyone, he was completely himself.
I mean... he basically got arrested for something that the police weren't even completely sure about. Everything was fine on stage and so was everyone, I believe the real freaks were the police that started this problem.

Not that Morrison wasn't great, but he would cringe at all those who idolize him over the others in the group- it was Densmore, Manzarek and Krieger who helped make Morrison what he was....

manzarek, although a big of a horses ass for continuing the doors after jim's death, was the most talented member. Did I mention he is an asshole for cashing in on the doors' name. Put out 2 more albums after jim died. Don't hear any of those on the radio... :(
