This should be a normal thing with humans, if we were all in touch with out spiritual sides the world would have a different outlook on how everybody sees each other in a more positive way. Meditation and lucid Dreaming should be practiced daily!
A good way to start I think would be one sense at a time. Close your eyes and focus on what you can hear and realise that sound has about a bajillion levels that you just don't notice. Then factor in the other senses as you get use to this and it will come easily.
Yes! That is something I also noticed. Trying to be lucid in my dreams, I noticed I was hardly lucid in reality. I did not realy control. My brain did. I did not notice much but the 6 foots around me. I did not remember much, it flew in and out of my mind just like in a dream. So I focused on the things around me and instantly withnessed a more intence deepness perspective and tactil also. That was intense! I get what you mean!
I think this will help alot, especially because I never become lucid from dream signs, or RCs. I tend to by noticing something else that is weird. If I focus more IRL I'll probably focus more in dreams.
I think meditation is disconnection from any of your bodily perceptions on a physical level, but ultimately it is a connection with everything in existence, which is ultimately pure consciousness.
Friend2Humanity you basically wrote exactly what I wrote but added some big fancy words in the middle of it. Let me clarify my self, meditation is disconnection (disconnecting with everything that is physical) and awareness of the moment. (is connecting with the now, the you and as you would say the ultimate consciousness.). Now remember this is my view on my basic meditation so you can't really disagree as I to cannot disagree with anyone else is view on basic meditation.
hey Tim, first I want to say that this is such a great video and very useful, but I wondering if you knew any specific exercises you can do throughout the day that can help with this overall state of constant awareness you mention? I really would like to get my mind working into constant awareness and adapt it as a lifestyle.
I agree. My meditation is also very natural. I also based it on exercises at first, btu then you just do your own thing and it seems to work just fine.
I always calm my body, slow my breathing (I don't ever do the whole strict breathing in thru nose out thru mouth. I just breath).
Hi Tim, Great video, thank you for sharing it with us. What you are talking about here seems very similar to Vipassana or "insight" meditation from Theravadin Buddhism. I was wondering if you've heard of it or even tried it? If not I think you might find it interesting. In short, the idea is to develop moment to moment awareness rather that deep concentration on a single point of focus.
in what sense do you mean be lucid in daytime? Is it the constant realization of things like "now I see that book", or like I was just running in the woods and thought of a map with a dot (me) moving like a tomtom (no, I don't think I'm mad at all ;-)#, or like when meditating feeling the energies move? Please explain some more.
My understanding is that he means the state of mind that he was in whilst meditating in the traditional sense is not restricted (the state of mind) to sitting of the floor, cross legged and eyes closed but you can hold that "way of thinking"/"Emotional state"/"mindset"/"attitude to your surroundings"/"Overall vibe of how you feel be it in a emotional sense or 'energy'" or however you may put it.
He is right too, did this accidentally and lucidity increases greatly!
When you are lucid in daytime you are much more aware of everything that is going on. Imagine this, your mind is like cars in traffic they don't stop. Now imagine that all those cars just slowed down and as they slowed down they reached a point were they just completely stopped. You hear gurus say that you must be awakened well what they are basically saying is that you must be lucid. Lucidity can be achieved in both sleep and reality. I hope this clarified more on what he meant.

So it is kind of like "being in the moment" as it were.

This sounds like a technique that is on Dreamviews, called ADA (all day awareness).

@Friend2Humanity that makes no sense. your basically saying everything that exists has nothing to do with your subconscious.

I agree. Everytime I meditate before sleeping I almost always have a lucid dream.
