Whats wrong with money spent on hybrid rebates, alternative energy research, and wind power? People who are bashing Pickens are missing the point (and, in my opinion, wrong). I voted YES on Prop 10.
For openers, most of the money under Prop 10 goes to trucking companies to buy natural gas powered trucks that will fill up at a Pickens gas station, but that are not required to be cleaner than diesel trucks and are not required to stay in California - we pay, interstate trucking companies take our money and run. Hybrids get next to nothing with Prop 10. It's a deceptive measure that's been condemend by Sierra Club, Union of Concerned Scientists, League of Conservation Voters and NRDC. No on 10
You meant to ask: Who are the voters of California to judge a Pickens-funded ballot measure that would cost us $10 billion and produce no improvement in air quality, or even have any accountability to insure the billions we spend are spend to benefit Californians? Every major environmental group: Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, Union of Concerned Scientists, NRDC have judged and FLUNKED Prop 10.
Vote No on 10, we can;t afford $10 billion when California is going broke

Pickens has a great plan to stop sending 700 billion in the arab world. What's your plan? Who are you to judge him? Do you got a better plan?
