I personally love the reunion movie. I mean it is classic Dynasty:

Blake is fighting real bad guys not just spoiled kids or scorned ex-wives.

Alexis is sleeping with the enemy.

Fallon is in love with her usual two men at once.

Steven is back!

Sammy Jo is as selfish and greedy as ever.

OH! it was so good to see them all again!!

Oh! How could I forget Kirby is back. It was sad to see her go so early in Dynasty's career but without Joseph there was not much use for the character. But her character clear makes up for that.

Also, I like this Adam. He is so much believable as a spoiled rich kid.

The reason why Amanda did not appear in the reunion is: Everyone hated her. She took all the attention in season 5, after the network pushed for the show to go younger. Dynasty was never about people like Amanda. It was about older generation. So, the writers did not feel obligated to mention her in this and this was a big "Fuck You" to Oxenberg.

The Reunion completly ignores seasons 1-4, 9 and reminds me of

I remember watching this series in the 80's I remember as the series went on it got more and more outlandish and more and more unrealistic I knew it was a soap but being taken into a space ship buried alive come on we're supposed to believe this?

anyway I have to say Dallas was much better and more entertaining not saying Dynasty wasn't entertaining it was it was just so outlandish.

My memory is semi photographic. I almost recorded every line of dialogue of the show. I'm also an American Wasp.

Dynasty to me is what the Sopranos is to the Italians.

I get a riotous laugh out of Alexis.

I got Dynasty season 3 for Xmas. The second volume has some of the fuinneist and best scenes of the whole show.

And I agree this Reunion was disapointing, but I think they first checked which actors could be available to put a end to Dynasty properly and WROTE the storyline whith the ones they had... Jack Coleman, Gordon Thomson and others had contracts running on other shows. Maybe Stephanie Beacham was on stage in England? I think the production must have had headaches trying to find solutions...

Who care about faces? Dynasty is still "soaper" than a soap! After the Moldavian "massacre" I understood it was pointless expecting realism in Dynasty, It's pure entertainment Aaron Spelling's way... And please cut off all those complains about E.Samms. She played Fallon the way it was written after PSM departure. Stop confusing actors and characters... "her" Fallon was dull and weak, what could have she done? Climbing curtains naked? I had to play a jerk once, all I could do was being jerk!

I love Dynasty and the fact that they replaced Jack Coleman as Steven just.. doesn't make it the same anymore.

But I watch it regardless, it has several of the other main characters.. just disappointed with replacing Steven.

the reason it was so bad and so full of continuity errors is because E.Duke Vincent was put back as Executive Supervising Producer instead of David Paulsen, I.E. bad stoyrlines and bad ideas

Yay!! The Reunion. Ive got this on VHS cost 99p!! Its terrible but its Dynasty. I just think that with a bit more care and attention to detail this could've been a great final episode to what was one of the best soap of the 80's. Great catfight at the end tho!!! Thanks for posting this!!
