The scene is so strikingly Disney Chanel of the 2000’s and so fitting because we see Grandmother, Julie Andrews look on with approval of her granddaughters actions – it’s as if Andrews herself is watching her young apprentice (Hathaway) guide children the way she so famously did in "The Sound of Music" (1965). Even more telling is that Hathaway – almost a name actress by this time, guides 8 year old Abigail Breslin into the spotlight.

I just checked IMDB and according to that she was born in 1996 and the movie game out in 2004, so she was about 7 when it was filmed. Nice catch, by the way! I had wondered if it was her, but I wasn't sure.
