  • Guys, it is about the WHOLE thing, or there's a good chance of you hurting yourself. #1 set up, don't lean back #2 tuck and grab your shins #3 land and bend your knees. Have fun flipping and check out my standing back ripple vid. :)

  • I learned backflip a few weeks ago, and i went crazy and did like 50 backflips or something! So my stomach got really sore! so the next time i tried to do backflip my stomach hurt so much that i couldn't tuck enough to get all the way around, so i landed on my face (Yes, it was pretty painfull!). So now, even if my stomach is fine, im to afraid to do backflips! Any advice? anybody? ...Please!

  • @luffaregb if you are all healed, have a buddy spot you on your first few... you'll probably be fine... :)

  • @fitnesstrainingbyjon Yea that's probably a good idea! Thanks for answer :)

  • does it matter how high u jump and if it does how high and how can i increase my vert

  • @SAxGuy31 yes, it does matter how high you jump. I would practice on a trampoline with a spotter first before attempting. Or even better, into a foam pit.

  • @fitnesstrainingbyjon i know i cant just stand there and just flip without jumping so how high wud u recomend jumping and how i can increase my vert

  • @SAxGuy31 It's more about the technique, not necessarily about how high you can jump. The more you practice, the higher you will be able to jump and the quicker you will rotate which will make your standing backflip easier and better. A trampoline with a spotter is probably the best way to start.

  • hahaha ! nice tutorial man i can do backflips and whips but im afraid of tucking

  • omfg dood you must be crazy strong!!!

  • most annoying song i have ever heard? yeah probably

  • Can you do a precise back flip?

Like instead of landing backwards from where you jump

You land in the same spot you jumped from?

  • @zuevaxcy23 yep - more of a gainor flip. dude, i got some skillz (or at least back in the day i did. been a gymnast since 3yo. - watch?v=7MQRZ27wGrM oh, and @zuevaxcy23 - nice channel!

  • @fitnesstrainingbyjon wow you were an exceptional athlete!

So do you have advice for that precise back flip?

There was this tree stump I found and I carved a 6 x 6 inch square in the center of it and I'm trying to copy this guy:

  • @zuevaxcy23 nice video! he's sick. at 1:03 and 1:18 there are a couple of good examples of how his hips move forward and his arms get thrown straight up or even a bit forward as well. these are good exaggerations of a gainor.

  • @fitnesstrainingbyjon oh yeah i saw it, haha i tried it off the edge, but i was like wtf because in a normal gainer, you're supposed to move forward, but i under rotated cuz i opened too early, and landed on my toes and nearly face planted but barely did a dive roll in time haha

oh btw, how do did he do the "suspended" back flip 2:40, where he jumped and then his body was parallel to the ground and he tucked and landed.

he was like in the air for at least a second

    He hollowed?
