@recognize49090 Yes it can be unlocked, but it will not work on AT&T or T-mobile. It will only work when travelling out of the country.

I have one question: we need to know the IMEI of the phone (so we can ask you for the unlock code), but how are we gonna know it if the first thing the phone asks when it's powered on is to insert the unlock code itself?

@SuperSZ you can find the IMEI on the back of the phone. It can be found underneath the battery on the phone itself.

@ProductionsMarvel If you unlock one that is from Bell Mobility in Canada ,it will work on AT&T, but if you unlock the Verizon one, it will not work on AT&T as Verizon has blocked out the US and possibly all North American frequencies once it is unlocked.

@OceanderTethyseus unfortunately not. Boost mobile is not a GSM carrier. It will work on both AT&T and T-mobile if you purchase the Droid 3 from Bell.

@xboyof190 the Unlocked version of the Verizon Droid 3 does not work on North American carriers when unlocked. It will only work outside of North America.
