@athlonner I remember watching Top Gear that Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond all dressed up in the 1970s clothes and riding the 70os cars using the 70s soundtrack but I don't it was this theme. But I could be wrong.

ive often wondered why itv cancelled this show after only one season, it had everything going for it, cast,storylines and an opening theme that to me is second only to the hawaii 5-0 theme, i know the character jason king (peter wyngarde) had a follow-on show, but geez, i thought d-s had potential.

Why on earth didn't he run acrossways over the runway instead of trying to outpace a 707. That way he'd have been safe. I remember seeing this when it was first broadcast in the 1970s and I still remember my mother echoing the thoughts going through my 5 year old mins when she said "Get off the runway, you stupid fool".

I remember watching this series on American TV when is was syndicated there, briefly, in the mid-1970's. Always thought it was a lot of fun.
