@athlonner I remember watching Top Gear that Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond all dressed up in the 1970s clothes and riding the 70os cars using the 70s soundtrack but I don't it was this theme. But I could be wrong.
The way they glanced at the document then quickly passed it to someone else meant that it could only be my bank statement. Along with 'The Persuaders', probably the best two theme tunes in the history of TV thus far.
100% de acuerdo con cypionate011. Al igual que tu, el tema de Departamento S me parece la mejor canción de la historia hecha para un programa de la Television.
ive often wondered why itv cancelled this show after only one season, it had everything going for it, cast, storylines and an opening theme that to me is second only to the hawaii 5-0 theme, i know the character jason king (peter wyngarde) had a follow-on show, but geez, i thought d-s had potential.
i love the shows theme music, i,ll put it up there with hawaii 5-0, its just one of those tunes that stays with you, and if you are a fan of 60,s television (like i am) you,ll know you will get to see rose nichols in a short skirt....what fantastic legs this girl had....
Why on earth didn't he run acrossways over the runway instead of trying to outpace a 707. That way he'd have been safe. I remember seeing this when it was first broadcast in the 1970s and I still remember my mother echoing the thoughts going through my 5 year old mins when she said "Get off the runway, you stupid fool".
É a abertura do penúltimo episódio da série, "Um bilhete para lugar nenhum (A Ticket to Nowhere), exibido em 11/03/1970 (episódio 19 da 2ª temporada - se preferirem o episódio nº 27 da série)

Looking for the name of a TV programme or possibly a film where a wedding dress features.
I have tried to find out what this scene was for over 30 years. A wedding dress in a tall glass case in a corner of a Victorian
old ladies room, she is sitting on a sofa and warns a young girl who is admiring the wedding dress, not to open the case .
But the girl does behind the old lady, and when the air gets inside the dress falls to pieces..
It is NOT Miss Haversham in Great Expectations HELP!

Why would someone run lengthwise along the runway and not across it when there's a thumping great 707 about to land on his head?

Some of you, will probably find that I exaggerate but according to me "Department S" is the BEST theme music in the film history.

What the?! What the Devil am I doing here in my Nightclothes! The IMPUDENCE!!
Ah, an aircraft about to land on my head, is there?
Well, I'm going to outrun that damned plane - and then there'll be Hell to pay once I've refreshed myself and contacted the Proper Authorities!
Come on! Your vast tonnage and massive speed is no match for my doddery sprint, you presumptuous bastards!
I should advise that I intend to prosecute to the FULLEST EXTENT OF LAW!..
Oh blast - I appear to have failed.
Aargh.
