I used to drive a Citroen Jumper 2.8 HDI panelvan from 2002, and even sitting at about 3 tons (total weight, not cargo) it still managed to grip surprisingly well in corners, provided you knew how to avoid the frontwheel drive understeer.

Modern vans are surprisingly capable. :)

Yes bog standard 313 cdi. Even had alot of stock in the back. Its not a ferarri by the way, its a lotus and yes I got him and the bike, but the bike got me back before the end of the lap, but the lotus didn't.

Well, well, Dave... How did you hear about it? I was just taking some video of some mates and you went past. I'm astounded at the traffic this has generated! Have to say a van seems a damn sight safer than a bike round there at Easter, and I ride a bike as well...

A customer of mine said they seen this video on you tube and new I went there, so asked if it was me. It was! I've been going there for 5 years now and also do some light instruction on the motorcycle. Most people feel safer on the back of my bike than they do in the van. I wonder why? Was there last weekend, but thats it for this year. Will be out there again next year though!

It's not the bike that's scarey as much as the hairy mix of bikes and cars - seen quite a few bikers hit by cars after what was a relatively lightweight get-off. Totally brill track though - everything else pales in comparison.

True, but most people don't even know or obey the rules of the circuit. The guys I instruct with do and instruct on a minimum braking lap for smooth, flowing riding. There would be alot less incidents if others did the same! Our top guys are doing su 8 minute laps with other trafffic! Addictive stuff.
