  • @ArtsyLo that wasnt i love lucy that was their movie called the long long trailer =)

  • @yorkielover35

lucy , ricky, fred, ethel are all dead

the children are still alive i think

  • Which espisode is that where she is in the trailer? And rolling around in food??

  • Hey, put some oil on that damn hinge on your door...LOL

  • Whats going on in that guy's pants at 2.47? They could have framed that shot better!

  • she looked gorgeous without make up on 4:44

  • she looks gorgeous without make up on 4:44,,,

  • 490 people are true fans

    9 people are just haters

  • what is the name of this documentary?

  • Didn't Desi Jr. have a daughter who looks and sounds just like Lucy that the whole family won't acknowledge because the mother was a lot older than Desi Jr.?

  • I loved Lucy, but as a Cuban Exiled living in this country for 40 years, I can't but feel a profound admiration for Desi Arnaz. He made it Big, accent and all, and always proud of his Cuban heritage. I always wanted to meet him, but I don't loose hope, because when I die I will look for him up there. I know he's singing his heart out.

  • Maybe the greatest show to ever be on TV.

I Love Lucy had it all.

Brilliant acting, really funny comedy and excellent timing.

They were right together, even though Vivian (Ethel) and William (Fred) hated each other in real life.

America tuned in when it was time for I Love Lucy.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @GeorgeVreelandHill To me.......I Love Lucy , The Andy Griffeth Show , and The Beverly Hillbillys will be the top 3 shows tv ever put out.

  • they all smoked thats why they sounded like that

  • 1st. Thank you so much for posting this! 2nd. What is the name of this documentary?? I would like to buy a copy. Thank you!

  • ZAPATO!!! LOL LOL LMAO

  • @Celie3678 William F wasn't allowed to drink at all on set or even show up smelling of alcohol or he would have been fired that was in his contract if he did that he was gone no questions asked

  • We all knew Fred Mertz was a drinker. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been so darned funny.

  • lol! i like the way lucy tossed that little boy down at 4:00 lol.

  • Lucy Jr acts bitter that Lucy started production 1 month after her birth. my god is she bitter about all the money that was left to them so they dont have to work a day in their life. God Lucy jr go take another prozac

  • Lucy and Ricky were the most wonderful people. They've givin me soo many laughes.

  • 0:28 Lucy died her hair brown again O_O

  • Bitter little spoiled brat of a bitchy daughter. Cry me a river, you silver spoon chump.

  • @Halgrim Are you referring to Lucie arnaz?

  • Wow, Desi aged well!

    :D

  • Can you put the rest of this on here?

  • i just love lucy ricky and ethel and fred.

  • lucy's voice got sooo deep when shes old

  • @redheadonfire2 smoking....

  • @redheadonfire2 she was a smoker

  • One of the best shows was the one where it showed them making the babies.... with him burrying all 9 inches of his Cuban meat deep inside Lucy.. as she screamed in orgasm after orgasm......

  • @Lindawatcher What the heck are you talking about....?!?!?! That's so disrespectful.

  • @sillbill94 You mean you didn't see that episode??

  • @Lindawatcher No im not sure which episode your referring to...what is it..

  • @sillbill94 Do you remember the one where everyone watched and adored= = the one where they annouced that Lucy was "With Child"..... well this was in answer to how Lucy ended up getting pregnant in the first place. This special episode showed how she acctually got pregnant. Strict sensors of the time did nopt allow it shown on tv... but it was available for a few years on home-viewable films. In it- actually showed Desi and Lucy have hot hot sex like a couple of hormone-crazed rabbits!

  • @Lindawatcher Where the heck is that episode even at lol..

  • @sillbill94 It is still available at vintage porn shops! It was very graphic- showed Desi drilling her deep and buried to the balls deep in her with his 9 inch + penis! I guess she cried out in pleasure like a wild animal from what they said..... I bet you will now try and find it huh? Would be a turn on?

  • @Lindawatcher Um heck no im not looking that up! But thats really weird ahaha guess ya learn something new everyday!hahaha

  • @sillbill94 YEP!!! that proves it huh? lol lol Good to meet you!

  • @Lindawatcher And you too!:)

  • I love lucy

this show has brought my so much joy and happy hours of watching!!!!!!!!

  • When LUCILLE BALL was born as a brunette.

  • ive never seen these clips and im so glad i did- because "I LOVE LUCY"!!!! thank you for sharing and putting a smile on my face!!!

  • Cassandria Lucianna Carlson looks like these people. Why wouldn't they do a DNA test?

  • Loved the video but the squeeking door opening freaked me out!!..I thought someone was in my house!..lol..

  • Lucille Ball was such a beautiful woman!! And she was very ahead of her time!! Many people don't understand a very hidden message of "I love Lucy" It was funny because she disobeyed Ricky but what some don't see is, IT WASN'T DONE AT THAT TIME!! Women's work was to listen to their husbands and be dutiful wives. Lucy was certianally extrodonary!! She did what she wanted to inspite of him! She was a femminist and rolemodel for women of her time! And mine=)

  • LOL, "Zapato!" x))

  • I've Met Ms.Arnaz..sweet,lovely talented lady.Her dad was a talented

man..but an irresponsible womanizer,a drunk and a workaholic.

  • "....I have to say 'specting...." =)

  • Desi and Lucy forever!

  • zapato!

  • whhhhhat!!!

  • who opened that door in the middle of my viewing pleasure?

  • Oddly enough, Lucie looks a lot like Desi. See any of the Here's Lucy episodes and you see, facially, Desi's daughter although she does have the same face shape as her mom.

  • There will never be anything like "I Love Lucy". I have been watching since I was a child and now my children like to watch it. And I actually believe their daughter has Ricky's eyes and Rickey jr looks more like his mom. I think both Ricky and Lucy were like two pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly together they could have forced another piece in it but it would not have looked or been the same. I am sure they are now in heaven together because they were soulmates.

  • I notice that too, and I wonder...

  • I WOULD ASSUME, THAT WE ARE ALL LUCILLE BALL #1 FANS HERE!!!

I DONT WANT TO BE CONFONTATIONAL, BUT I LOOKED FOR RESEMBLANCE WITH THEIR CHILDREN, I THINK LUCILLE JR LOOKS LIKE SHE'S GOT HER DADDY'S SOFTENED EBONY EYES, HE WAS SO HANDSOME, & LUCY WAS JUST SO LOVELY!

LIGHT & DARK, WHAT A COUPLE!!

HOPE THEY FOUND THEIR WAY BACK TOGETHER IN HEAVEN-

    -annabella

  • @anna1960schild

what a lovely thought annabella. thank you for sharing that sentiment here.

btw i too hope they found their way back together again in heaven.

  • @wntoply6 Nice thought, but what about Desi's 2nd wife ? And Lucy's devoted husband, Gary Morton ???

True story: long before he married Lucy, Gary was not-so-successfully doing stand-up comedy.

His fellow comics finally gave him the nickname "Also Gary Morton" because on the theater posters listing all the acts, waaaaay down at the bottom and in very tiny letters, that was how he was billed.

  • @5tpxyyrk a worthy sentiment. lucy & desi, up to his death, were still very close even though she divorced him. and i heard lucy and gary had major problems in that he was sort of a lazy guy. she often chastised him privately and publicly because of it, telling him once to either get with the program or get out of her way, and go play golf (the only real passion he had).

i don't know if there really is a haven, but if there is they, perhaps, are all in close proximity. lol

  • Junior is a dead ringer For his father. The daughter indeed doesn't look too much like either parent. She might have taken after other past members of either family. That's biology for you...

  • desi was incredibly attractive!!

looooove the show, have every season on dvd, wont ever forget these two legends. their legacy will go on forever through the successful show.

  • Now i understand why Desi started drinking after the divorce of Lucy :O his life was empty without her and so he used drinking to replace that heartbreaking feeling :( that's sad and im GUESSING Lucy did the same thing smoking and drinking i bet if they were still together they wud not drink any more and MAYBE not smoke either and be together :) that be perfect cuz they loved each other till the day they died as they say True Love Never Dies...<3

  • do you know why they divorced or separated??

  • @giggles1987 i'm not sure if anyone answered you yet.....but.....lucy filed divoce because desi was very very alcholic and cheats on her.

  • @Dakotanjulie thanks for responding.

oh wow, yet.. they both say that they're chill now... or well.. i dunnno... that really sucks...

    thanks for answering again. :)

  • @giggles1987 Desi was a "ho"!

  • @cubanita1101 actually, if you read the book by lee tannen, a close friend of lucille's. he said that she plays alot of games.

  • @Dakotanjulie Oh yeah and that to :) i forgot about that! thanks for the reminder :)

  • great footage - thanks so much for the upload

  • Really? I thought Desi Jr. looks very much like his father. I agree that Lucie doesn't resemble either parent, however!

  • I love desi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Never realized how innovative Desi was in all this, and at the same time cognizant in understanding Lucille's talent.

  • oh god!! i never imagined how lucy looks when she's old....how did she died though??..i don't know i think i kind a miss her!!!

  • i believe she had a heart aneurysm in 1989.

  • that's what smoking does to you after so many years

  • she always had a deep voice, but for I love Lucy show she would speak with a higher pitch voice..

  • Its sad how Desi Arnaz is not recognized for all the things he did for the I love lucy show.

  • Totally agree!! The series would not have been nearly as good, or even have succeeded without the character of Ricky, or his behind the scenes contributions. He was vital to the chemistry of the four characters! The show was perfect because of the cast just the way they were!

  • @Nidiasbootay I think anyone who would have been Lucy's mate would have been overshadowed by her, no matter their talents. She just stood out far above and beyond the crowd..not necessarily reems more talent, just her personality~ He was a brilliant man, and it's him we have to thank for the three-camera system used to this day in filming studio shows.

  • @Nidiasbootay...i totally agree. and not just for the technical/behind the scenes kinda stuff. there are so many times when 'Ricky's' reaction made whatever Lucy was doing twice as funny. I Love Ricky/Desi as much as I Love Lucy.

  • oh my god..Ive never seen lucy old!

  • lol was that a door opening at 1:35?

  • does anyone know what episode it is where Lucy says "Ed Sullivan's going to do a show about us"?

  • i think it was probably a commercial/ad.

  • It looks like whatever I said was removed,

so I have no idea of what you are replying to.

    :-)

  • i don't think so.

the chemistry between Lucy and Desi was extraordinarily bright.

  • yeah it was! too bad the chemistry didnt last in real life. They were amazing at potraying it in the show though.

  • why don't you just watch the lucy show? (which was less successful)

  • no it wouldn't

  • I don't think so. Desi Arnaz was a brilliant man in front of the camera and behind the camera.

  • when you watch the show, you can easily see the love in her eyes when she looks at desi.

  • Yes He Did Cheat On Her Repeatedly Yea I Know That's Bad, But In Cuba It's Okay If Your Not A Santreo, But You Know He Needed To Learn That He Wasn't In Cuba No More, And Everyone Makes A Mistake Once In A While, And Just Because He's Famous, Doesn't Mean He's Not Human.

  • you know...not every word needs to be capitalized.

  • I Know But My Stupid Computer Teacher Got Me Into This Habit. :(

  • wow, his voice is exactly the same, exactly the same, i love his accent,

  • Desi is still very handsome at such an old age.

  • his drinking problon did not start until the verry end of their marraige

  • What Are You Talking About He Never Treated He Bad At All He Never Hit Her. Both Of Them Started The Fights, And It Was Desi Who Wanted The Divorce, Not Lucy But He Wanted To Make Her Look Like She Was In Charge. So He Let Her File For Divorce Or Sue For Divorce What Ever It's Called.

  • but he cheated on her repeatedly. i would call that bad.

  • what is 2:04-2:39?

Id love to see what its about, looks funny(:

  • That's from the Ed Sullivan Show.

  • @leslietitus105 In 1954, Sullivan devoted an entire show to Lucy and Desi and this was part of a very funny sketch about Ed inviting them to appear.

Unfortunately, by the Sunday night of the filiming, Desi had come down with a terrible case of the the flu and had a 102 degree fever.

Like the pro he was, Desi went on and, despite having to do some very physical comedy and a lot of running around, he was flawless.

That's why he's mopping his face with the handkerchief.

  • Lucy explains this later in the show just after Desi gives a VERY moving speech about how his impoverished family came to America from Cuba. ("My firs' job was cleanin' bird cages!")

He gets very emotional when he expresses his deep gratitude to America -- "No other country in the worl' can you go from cleanin' bird cages to this kind of success ..."

Sure, I love Lucy ... but I'm in total awe of Desi.

  • The " I Love Lucy" truly made me happy growing up.... I still watch it when I get a chance. I so wanted Desi and Lucy to end up together. I was raised by them in a sence

  • OBXAngelita, I COMPLETELY agree...and it's funny--I'm 23 as well!!!!!! It's just timeless & I still laugh till I cry when I watch them!

  • At 23 years old, I can honestly say that this is the best show on television. I have been watching it since I was two or three years old. My grandfather would turn it on and have me sit next to him in his chair while we watched it. My father and I used to watch it together as well. I remember when Nick @ Nite had two hours of Lucy on every Saturday night (two episodes of ILL and on LDCH). I miss those nights. *sigh* If only television were still this good today.

  • What did the guy say at 3:18?

  • i love lucy ;

  • I love Lucy! and the whole cast. Best show ever. It's been almost sixty years and still airing. The show always cheers me up. I also like Friends...

  • "Lucille Ball was so funny that she could make you laugh without saying one dirty word. She was so funny that she didn't have to say ANY word to make you laugh. Just thinking about Lucy brings a smile to my face. She was that good". Those are the words said by Madonna when she was asked about Lucille Ball.

"Lucy is my favorite". Quote from Frank Sinatra

"Funniest woman ever" Quote from Chris Rock

"I used to eat my cheerios watching Lucy" Quote from Oprah Winfrey

    Enough Said

  • Did anyone notice that Bob Carroll has a big sausage in his pants and it's really noticeable?

  • LOL i had not noticed but now thats all i see!!! HAHAHA!

  • Did this whole clip come from "Lucy and Desi a home movie"?

  • yes it is

  • the red hair of Lucy wasn´t "real" or?

  • No it wasn't. Her natural hair color is mousy brown.

  • Actually, Lucille Ball was a blonde in real life. Lucy Ricardo of the sho when asked she confesses that she's a mousy brown.

  • I thought she was a red head...so the hair color in the video isn't her real hair color?

  • She always maintained that red color but it wasn't natural. It's hard to imagine her as anything but red. I've read that her hair was blonde, and others say she was light brown. She was probably blonde as a child and it could've darkened to brown or near brown.

  • Oh wow, yea it is REALLY hard to think of her as not being a red head lol.

  • i know i remember seeing her in the three stooges she was blonde and tall and gorgeous well that didnt change except the hair color

  • I think you got it exactly right. i personally think her hair looked better a little blonder than redder.

  • Hmm... that's odd. Last I remember was that Lucille Ball was born a brunette. I know she's had her her blond before, but I was told that she had brown hair as a kid.

  • No She Was Born A Blond. I Guess Kinda Like A Redish Blond? I'm Not Sure :(

  • @alexandshady she was born as a burnette.

  • aww.. i feel so sad... look at them.. <=[

  • I'm almost 15, and everyone thinks it's very strange that I am in love with the I Love Lucy show! Hahaha! I think it's great for all ages! For christmas, I got the ENTIRE SERIES on dvd!! Haha! Yaaay!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • i wish they were all atill with us...what a beautiful group and wonderful people...

  • awesome!!!

  • Wonderful show!I LOVE LUCY!

  • this was allways a good show and i still watch it on TV LAND TO THIS DAY

  • i watch this show at least once everyday. i am a huge fan and it has become a source of comfort for me in tough times through life or when i am having a bad day. if i do not watch one day i feel like i am empty or that i have a big void. in every sense of the word this is my fav. show ever. & i'm 21. been watching since i was 13!

  • fine, once you have those all under your belt you may continue to Burns & Allen, if you dont know it look it up and ask your parents ! ;) good luck!

  • The years go by aren't they wonderful and I have a ticket to see Lucie Arnaz in Philly Pops June 5th 09 Can't wait

  • whats that show at :51?

  • If you are referring to Vivian Vance in the jeep, this is from one of the hour long "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" w/ Fred MacMurray called "Lucy Hunts Uranium" (1958).

  • The clip just before :51, that is from another hour long episode from "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" w/ Fernando Lamas called "Lucy Goes to Sun Valley".

  • what was this documentary called!? also what was that show with both of them in color?

  • CAR BUFFS: Is that a 1951 or 1952 Cadillac at 4:15 - The top front of the hood is more slanted back just under the hood ornament like the '51, but the chrome just above the bumper in front of the tires has two horizontal lines which appear in both the '51 & '52 Sedan. At 4:15 keep pausing it as the camera pans in to see Ricky waving. There is a better view of the side of the bumper which, in my opinion will be the ONLY way to tell which year it is. LET ME KNOW ~ thanks, Bob

  • Desi Jr. looks EXACTLY like Desi Sr.!

  • LEGENDS.

  • lucy was the greatest.

    nobody could replace her

    nobody

  • I soooooooooooooo agree. She was amazing

  • off stage ethel and fred actually hated each other my dad told me...

  • they didn't like each other onstage either, lmao, made for great chemistry the way they bickered all the time

  • Legend has it that when Lucy was doing her last television show in 1986, Desi would call her almost every night, very late at night (2 or 3 a.m.) begging her to forgive him for everything he'd done to her (all the cheating, the drunkeness, gambling, etc.). Apparently Lucy took every single call from him, even though the calls usually required her to get up in the middle of the night. She would be exhausted on set the next day (she was 75 at that time), but she continued to take his calls.

  • Lucy died in the 1970s

  • haha never mind!

  • no she didn't she died april 26th 1989 she suffered from a ruptured aorta and died.

  • She died on Carol Burnett's birthday. Ironically, Lucille always remembered to send Carol a bouquet of flowers for her birthday. On the day Lucille died, her flowers arrived at Carol's house.

  • i think lucy must have had some type of staff send them each year. But it was still sweet!

  • she died one year and one day before i was born

  • Vivian died in the seventies

  • The news spread around Hollywood that William Frawley died, and Ethel was at a restaurant. Once she heard, Viv stood up and said, "Drinks around the house on me!" In an insulting way, they hated each other.

  • @beccalee1213 1989, april 26

  • Damn! Listen to that smoker's voice. GROSS!

It killed her and Desi in the end.

  • I love lucy's face at 2:19 what is that from???

  • The Ed Sullivan Show.

  • Desi was the master-mind behind I Love Lucy. He and a director, Karl Freund (spelling?) developed the 3 camera technique which is still used today to film situation comedies. As their Desilu empire grew bigger, Desi began drinking and gambling more. That was the undoing of their marriage. Even though, they remained friends until the day Desi died in 1986. Desi had directed episodes of "The Lucy Show" after they were divorced in 1960.

  • Whoa! I'm not used to seeing Desi with gray hair!

  • The world is not the same without the cast of Lucy :(

  • i have all the seasons also- i love lucy!!!

  • I think we all love Lucy!

  • What is that clip from starting at 2:04?! I have all the I love Lucy seasons and I don't recognize it! What's it from?!

  • That was from an Ed Sullivan episode. They're playing themselves "at home."

  • Thank you! Someone answered! lol. I have GOT to find that episode somewhere. She's hilarious when she ye
