I don´t think either Soviets or Western allies would have been able to defeat Germans on their own with conventional weapons. That´s why they were called Allied. Germany just tried to do too much. But had they been able to crush the Soviet Union like they did to Russian Empire in WW1 things would´ve been awfully lot harder for the Western allies. In the end though the Atomic bomb would´ve decided against Germany too in my opinion.

Hitler was a good leader. He brought sick and starving people food, hope, and cars. He designed the first jet engine aircraft. Started the first Anti-Smoking Campaign. Started the first breast cancer campaign and did a lot more. Sure he killed 6 million jews but his only true crime was starting world war 2. That not each and every unit did so is meaningless, extermination by any other name is still extermination. Your argument is literally this: (1) The Soviet army was far inferior to the German army, so (2) they retreated constantly taking heavy casualties, and (3) the Soviet winter was so great is shut off supplies to German soldiers. Where did you find that number? I'm not immediately rejecting your "fact" but I want to know where you heard that. Sure you may have better trained soldiers but that's not even half of the fight. Numbers often times prevail. Sure the German tanks were far superior to the Allied tanks, but by 1944 Germany had made 1,300 Tigers, the Americans had made 45,000 Shermans, numbers prevail. Sure you may have really good soldiers but more soldiers, back then, made a big difference.

Do i get that right? You say because of the superior numbers the Allies where better soldiers... US Troops fought HitlerYouth (Agegroup 1928-29) in France. And even against them they had hard times. Imagine, no war on the Eastern Front and all German forces available, the Allies wouldnt even have tried D-Day. And if they would have been send to the fishes..

I'm not doubting whether or not the average German soldier was better, that could be a very true possibility. In a hypothetical one on one, sure a German soldier might have beaten an Allied soldier. But what I'm saying is, sure if you have 2,000 very well trained soldiers they're still going to get beaten by 20,000 average soldiers. Numbers almost always win.
