A guy at work keeps telling a story of revenge shortly after being made redundant from a previous job.

He somehow managed to blag the job of children’s entertainer (‘BIG BILLY’) at the CEO’s daughter’s 4th birthday party. At the end, he gave envelopes with “Billy’s special party messages” to all the kids. These contained horrible pictures off the internet of murder scenes, autopsies & human rights abuses. He was prosecuted, but the judge called his actions “forgivable in the circumstances”.

Prof like these, they just examine lives of successful CEOs and interpret in their own ways and publish them. And people like you and I listen to them in a vain hope that we would one day become a successful CEO after listening and following this. I think successful CEO is all about execution with commonsense and intelligence.

Inside almost every large organization people complain about too many managers and too few leaders, but all the real leaders most companies hire are quickly forced out or assigned to the hinterlands because they challenge the status quo, which is typically a little gang of cronies at the top. Companies talk about developing leaders but they develop managers.

The way Bower tries to explain himself is quite unclear, with unfinished phrases and uncomfortable demeanor.

This is why I never truly respected self-proclaimed "entrepreneurs". They seem to try hard at sounding like they understand more about business or managing or whatever they want to call it, when they lack even the words to describe what they want to do. Business people sound usually very limited, because of this.

If you're a person that looks for gaps in markets and then creates businesses that fill that gap and provide good products/services to the world then guess what... you're an entrepreneur... it's something you DO not something you "proclaim" yourself to be. Last year my wife left me for some asshole guy. It makes no sense at all- I’m a CEO and he’s an office admin douchebag content to earn $60k a year!

At the end of the day if she wants to waste her time with filth, that’s up to her, but I don’t want him infecting my kids with his lazy-ass attitude to life. Already I can see them being less ambitious in school. It’s so unfair & I’m so cut up about it I’m now in counselling- I just don’t know what to do about the situation…
